Karioka Fine Egyptian Cuisine & French Cafe

I recently visited this place around 1 AM since I was in the area. While the late hours were convenient, my experience was somewhat disappointing.nnI asked the waiter to add ice to the hookah during setup, but it was not included when it arrived. Additionally, the shisha flavor was unremarkable, and the coals lasted less than 10 minutes, which was surprising.nnIt’s clear that their primary focus is on being a restaurant rather than a traditional hookah lounge. My visit may have been a one-off experience, but overall, it felt pretty basic.

Very bad restaurant, whether it was food, management, cleanliness or food quality, it is very bad and the service is very bad. This is the food that I received from the restaurant. I took the food to take out myself and ordered various dishes and paid a large amount, not through a delivery company, but I was shocked by the poor quality of the food. Look at the dry tahini because it has been stored for days with them. Look at the bread and the taameya, it is hard. For your information, this meal is tarb and not kofta. Where is the tarb then! And you don't see the liver and its spoiled taste is covered with tahini. My mother and I got a stomach virus because of the lack of cleanliness. When I talked to them, their response was cold and they did not care at all. They had my phone number and no one called to solve this problem.

First time trying Egyptian food and definitely plan on returning. Outdoor patio was lively. All the food came hot & perfect. The lentil soup here is great

The place has exceeded my expectations as I like Middle Eastern food and it was a pleasure. Everything was freshly made and tasted delicious, we were pleased with our experience.nnThe meat was juicy and fresh, the bread was freshly baked, and the waiter apologised for long waiting, which I thought was pretty fair for the freshly baked Eskanderani Howshi and Feteer.nHighly recommend !

Finally found a good Egyptian restaurant offering their national food, Kushari!nnKushari is layered with delicious lentils, chickpeas and fried onions buried in basmati rice and pasta. Once mixed with the marinade and spicy sauce this was a real heart warming treat. I loved every bite and the portion was large, probably could be shared between 2 people.nnAlso tried their Roz bel leban, a great thick rice pudding dessert to help digest this great meal.nnLots of seating, great staff and lots of parking. Interior was clean with a distinct style.
