Great little breakfast spot. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy. Large country size portions too, so you can take home for breakfast tomorrow. Table or bar seating for quick service via friendly and attentive staff. I will definitely go back.
Good food, service needs to be better. Had to take my coffee mug back to the counter to get a refill. Once the food showed up, the waitress didn't come back....ever. manager came out to ask how everything was. I said food was fine, service was not up to par. He explained they are looking for a waitress. So hopefully, they get it all together. Decor is very nice, country style. Fireplace is a nice touch. Very rustic. I like coming here. They are working out the kinks and you can't do that without customers tellijng the truth. If you tell them "everything was great!" Then walk out and never come back, you are not helping a new business grow to its full potential. I have been here a few times and it gets better every time, but they are still new to me. So I will be back to experience their improvements as they grow and hopefully continue to see changes.
Their breakfast is the BEST EVER! Unbelievable how good they can make eggs and potatoes taste! Love their biscuits and gravy as well! Only critique is I wish they offered breakfast all day every day! My husband and I will DEFINITELY BE BACK! The gift shop is also cute, and the plants and flowers are beautiful!
We’ve only been here for breakfast which is very good. The sweet roll, the breakfast burrito and the biscuits & gravy are excellent. This place is kind of a homey restaurant and gift shop. The gift shop has a bunch of country-themed stuff, most of which you can buy anywhere. The market has some local jellies, sauces & salsa. All in all Kane County Country Market is worth a stop.
I enjoyed my sandwich, the food all seemed to be fine pretty basic menu. They did have fresh cinnamon rolls that looked good but we did not try them. There were fun things in the shop. I enjoyed looking through it.
I was so excited to try this place with all of the positive reviews. I had the turkey sandwich and the meat actually disintegrated it was so dry. Thankfully the water was really good. The gift shop has cute stuff made in China. I could go to Hobby Lobby for the same stuff. The ice cream is the usual machine soft serve. My husband had the fish fry, again, nothing spectacular. I really try to support local business, unfortunately this is a hard pass for me.
Definitely a unique place. You find yourself wandering around the perimeter of this restaurant to see many items for sale, antiques and such. You can do this while waiting for your food. The place was nicely done, with barn-like preserved features. It's very cozy and roomy inside. The food was good and fairly priced. The eating area has an array of tables, and a couple cushioned leather chairs around a fireplace and potbelly oven. I imagine they have the fireplace going on cooler days. There's a store behind the restaurant that has antiques, clothes, and decorative farm related items. We will definitely be going back
The country market has been around for more than a year, and this is the first time my wife have stopped in to eat. My wife had the biscuits and gravy and said they were excellent, I had the county breakfast which was also excellent, and lastly, we ordered cinnamon rolls to go, also very good. If you in the area, should make it a point to stop and eat.
By far one of the best breakfast, lunch and fish fry places around here. Gift shop has many unique finds that you really can't find anywhere else unless you live down South. You have question somebody who gives this place anything less than a five star review. Especially the lady who gave this place a two star review, everything was great in my opinion.
So glad a place like this opened up in the area. Styled beautifully, unique items for sale, wonderful people, and The staff truly care about your experience! We love the food and usually eat here at least once a week. Will be able to stop more with staying open till 7pm most days now. Will be back many times and hope they continue to be a huge success!
