Kamloops Community YMCA-YWCA

I've been apart of this gym for many years, I love the hotub jets, the best in the world in my opinion! The classes are usually good though some instructors are better than others. It does get crowded but I have always felt comfortable with the people who go. It does have things I wish were updated such as the change rooms and showers. Dumb idea to put new stalls in the woman's showers as it took a 6 possible shower spots down to 3 in a heartbeat. I hate that! One is so weak it might as well be 2 working showers. Also think the paint job in the pool is a foul shade of brown..looked better before. Like the new pool lights though. Despite these grievances though it's the only gym I've managed to stay committed to long term so 4 stars!

Always crowded Overpriced Filthy Those are all words that can be used to describe the YMCA in Kamloops (both locations), It's expensive and is always filled to the brim with people there is never any free equipment to use and its got loud music blasting in the other room filled with old people who contribute to the overcrowding problem. The staff on the other hand are nice and helpful but the YMCA will only be getting 1/5 stars from me because of its poor atmosphere and crowding NOT THE STAFFS FAULT.

Very awesome and convient gym. Prices are a bit high monthly. $50.40. Most gyms that I've been to, supply new users with a free week trial or a punch card. This place does not. There are lawyers and nurses who can't get their money's worth because they work too much. They can go once or twice a month. I am a nurse who thinks that a punch card would bring in more business for busy ppl like myself.

Nice stuff, lots of equipment, your membership includes group classes as well, very reasonable prices. It's not crowded usually.

Dont join this gym if you want to burn fats. Your sweat will stop instantly..ITS TOO COLD inside! I have complained twice but they didnt do anything at all its always 18degrees inside. I ask some friends who goes here, surprisingly 2 of them already complained too.
