Honestly if I could give 0 stars, I would. I had signed up for a 6 week challenge to the tune of $300. Considering the last challenge that my friends had been in was much less than that, I should have realized this wasn't going to be what I hoped it would be. I ended up being injured before I was actually able to start the challenge, and wasn’t able to get the meal plan, the exercises, or even sign the contract. I had let Adrian know this before I was set to meet with one of his employees. Aside from signing into his website and Facebook, that was nothing else I received. My doctor had told me that I was not allowed to do HIT workouts until my injury was on the mend. Adrian had not responded to my text messages for some weeks, though I was able to finally get through. Adrian had flat out told me that there was no refund whatsoever which went against the contract he used for this challenge - if you get an injury you can get at least half back that was paid. After several back and forth where I had to repeat my conversation twice that no I hadn't gone to any of those gym sessions and yes I was injured before starting, I was able to get slightly less than half back and have since forever sworn that I would never attend his gym. If my choice was to die in the apocalypse, or go to this gym for protection - well the choice is clear, death it is. One of my friends had been going there and I was able to attend three free sessions before the challenge and felt that Sam, Eve, and Dustin were all wonderful trainers.
Awesome workouts that change everyday. No matter your fitness level, if you stick with it, you will see results. Their membership prices are a lot higher than other gyms, but keep in mind that you have 2 to 3 personal trainers who are giving you personalized attention based on your fitness level. They also have picnics and social outings 2 to 3 times a year where you can bring family members and network with other gym members. Make sure to read your contract and fully understand it. At the end of my contract I was overcharged and told it couldn't be refunded, hence 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
I signed up for the 6 week challenge. They lie when you sign up and tell you that you can get your money back in full if you can't continue due to a medical issue. They only gave me half back even though I literally was only able to go to one workout. The owner gave me the runaround when I asked how i get my money back because of my medical issue, definitely feels like he is money hungry vs helping people. They give everyone the same food plan, and it doesn't seem like anyone has any kind of nutrition or dietitian background. They say if you finish the 6 week challenge you get your money back. I highly doubt that's true based in what I have seen. The only thing I found good about this place was the 2 trainers Dustin and Austin. They seemed to be the only ones that have any kind of training in exercise. I wish they were at a different gym training. I do not recommend this place at all
The staff as well as members make you feel comfortable no matter what your current fitness level is. Staff also makes sure you do not hurt yourself and has variations to all exercises. High energy, hard work but also fun. This is a great place and program!! I suggest doing a 6 week challenge if you want to try it out and going from there. Definitely recommend !!!!!
Love this place. Meeting new people and the trainers are supportive. Feel like I am going to succeed. I'm sore now, but it's worth it.
A fitness family, a community of people living life together as we workout. Absolutely amazing coaches in Sam Schlatter, Dustin Moore, Eve and owner Adrian Shier. Can't say enough great things about this fabulous Kalamazoo Fit Body Boot Camp, a cut above other fitness studios.
My husband and I were members of the Kalamazoo Fit Body Bootcamp starting in November of 2016. Everything was great, until business started increasing and lack of space became an issue. There were numerous times where the AC went out in the middle of summer, and we were working out in a non-air-conditioned environment. The owner of KFBBC seemed to ultimately be all about the $. Always wanting to bring in new members, but not making sure current members were satisfied. Ultimately, in late summer 2017 I decided to cancel my membership. This was not as simple as it should have been. I contacted the owner to cancel my contract, and requested the cost to payout my contract before the year was up. Instead of responding professionally, I received 20 questions about why I wanted to leave and continued to get questioned until I finally said enough and asked for the payout cost once more. For what members pay to be part of the "bootcamp family" I would think they could afford to obtain a larger and more suitable space locker room/showers would be nice!, but you are left to change in a single bathroom and there are no locker rooms. The cost was not justified for what I was receiving, and I did not feel that the owner genuinely cared about his committed, paying clients.
People were great, coaches were great. BUT... i think that the price increases did not justify the space. Other then that, the workouts were great and again the people were great.
Great trainer lead workouts keep you motivated and pushing your limits. Family atmosphere where everyone supports one another.
