Nice campground/boat launch/day use area in the Yakima Canyon. Kept very clean, good ...

The campground is somewhat poorly organized. They didn't have maps when we were there and there's no directions throughout the camp at all. So it's difficult to understand how to get around without having to walk on the road where cars drive.
Even though it's a bigger campground, it offers surprisingly private spots here and there. We stayed at one where we couldn't see anyone.
The lake is gorgeous and there's a pretty nice trail going north from the campground.

This is a beautiful area. The lake, mountains and campground are stunning. What an experience waking up in the morning to a pristine wilderness area with fresh, clean lake water for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, and great hiking and mountain biking trails.

While the campground itself is nice, the forest staff that help run and regulate are absolutely useless. One can literally go there, pull in, set up camp anywhere they want and the staff cannot do a thing about it. My husband and I booked a site right by the lake beach, pulled up and it was already camped in. We reserved the spot months prior. Instead of being in top of reservations and making sure laying customers are taken care of they just see how the chips fall. Hope nothing goes wrong while you are there because you will be out of luck. The staff had us move from camp site to camp site for two days until we said enough is enough you guys are useless.

At-least to me it is the most beautiful place ever. I've been going for over 46 years.
