Food is tasty! The sea food pancake here is huge and the restaurant is very generous with the the toppings. The Sweet and sour pork is tasty but the same taste in every other Korean restaurant. I'm docking one star because it takes time for the food to come out... seems like this restaurant is short staffed. Definitely will be back to try their raw crab dish next time!
It was my first time trying the marinated crab, and I gotta say it was amazing!!! The sweetness of the marinated crab meat was beyond my expectation. The other dishes are also full of flavours and the portions were generous. Gotta try out their other items next time. Thanks for the great food experience.Food: 5/5
I had been wanting to try Korean raw marinated crab for a long time, but since I am from Seattle, there wasn't any in my area. Once I found out there was a restaurant in the Toronto area, I immediately put it on my list of places I wanted to go to, and this definitely satisfied my craving! The spot is a little far from the downtown area, but definitely worth the trip. We arrived pretty late, around 8 pm, and still had to wait 15 minutes for a table. The waitress was extremely friendly and gave us a menu when we asked for it to look at while waiting. We ordered both the soy sauce and spicy versions of the crab. And the seafood pancake because my partner isn't a big seafood or spicy person. I personally enjoyed the soy sauce version. It had the right amount of flavor without covering up the original taste of the crab. It also came with the body shell of the crab, which is perfect to mix your rice into. Both versions were extremely fresh and had a good texture. I was not disappointed by my very first raw crab experience. The seafood pancake was also extremely exceptional. It had a lot of pieces of squid, crab, etc inside of it, making it extremely tasty. If you are hoping to try raw crab, I would definitely recommend making the way to this place! They have a lot of other wonderful Korean dishes on the menu, and I am sure everyone can find a little something from this place.
First time trying raw blue crab and it was delicious! Definitely not for everyone but if you love crab and sashimi then you would love the raw crab. Also tried their tofu soup and spicy fried chicken. The chicken was crunchy flavourful and the spice builds up as you eat it.
Came here looking for some heart warming spicy soup on a cold winter day; got exactly what I wanted and more! Ordered the pork bone soup and seafood tofu soup...and realized they offer raw marinated Korean blue crab! Gave that a try, and it was delicious! Booths were very comfortable, and distanced away from each other due to covid. The one server was very attentive and helpful. Wasn't too busy from 6-8 pm. Will definitely come back again!
Of course we came here for the viral raw crab! Service was really great and we were seated immediately. The soy sauce raw marinated crab has a very strong crab flavour and is absolutely delicious. Its not fishy per se, just a very strong crab flavour. The spicy raw marinated crab was very good as well however the spices overwhelm the flavour of the crab so you don’t get to really taste the crab. It was also very spicy so be careful! All in all, i would go back again!
We got HaeMul PaJeon, GanJang GeJang, LA GalBi, and HaeMul SoonDuBu JjiGae. We highly recommend their HaeMul PaJeong, it came loaded with assorted Seafood, Green Onion, pan fried to perfection, super loaded, crispy, and delicious! GanJang GeJang is something that we keep coming back for, it came in 2 Raw Crabs that were meaty and packed with a TON of Crab Butter, marinated in their perfectly seasoned Soy Sauce, absolutely amazing to go with rice! LA Galbi came with Bone-in Beef Ribs served on sizzling plate, perfectly grilled, tender, and flavourful! SoonDuBu Jjigae was incredible, the Broth was flavourful, it came loaded with silky soft Tofu, Seafood and an Egg in it as well! Their Banchan also had amazing variety, we can’t recommend this spot enough!
The waitera tall man is so reluctant‼ When we visited, there were only 2 other tables there. Definitely not a busy time. Ordered soy sauce crab, grilled pork belly, combo of grilled fish and seafood tofu soup Waited 30 minutes for the tea. Asked two things on the menu, he said no for both of them Korean pancake and grilled yellow croaker, both are on the menu Ordered soy sauce crab and he did not give us the gloves other table has it when ordered same dish Ordered grilled pork belly, the meat was not seasoned before it was grilled. They didn’t even put any salt or pepper on it. And he did not give us any dipping sauce and vegetables wrap that are supposed to come with the pork belly. I waited for a while until the meat was getting cold, I had to remind him to bring the dipping sauce and vegetables to the table. After almost 1 hr, he still did not bring the seafood tofu soup that we ordered. I had to remind him because we almost finished the meal. He then brought us a beef tofu soup and asked me if it’s okay. I told him no because at that time, I was getting angry about his reluctance. Then he said something badlyI understand some Korean and just came back from Busan and Seoul last month. Then after another 20minutes we finally got the soup we ordered. I think the store owner should look into this. I tried many Korean restaurants in Toronto, this is the worst service I experienced ever.
The raw crabs are sooooo delicious. We’ve also tried their hotpot but that’s really not good comparing to other Korean restaurants. Might give something else another try next time when I’m craving for their raw crabs!
We went to JungSooNe Bonga Steeles on a weekend late afternoon time and we got a seat right away. The waiters don’t speak a lot, especially since we didn’t speak Korean but they were still helpful and kind when we ordered. We mainly went for the raw crab; we got GanJang GeJang Raw Crabs in Soy Sauce $24.99 and YangNyeom GeJang Raw Crabs in Spicy Sauce $26.99. Both were very good, definitely a bit difficult to eat if you’ve never done it before. I usually snap the middle in half so the meat comes out easily. We also asked for a pair of scissors, they were heavy duty and it was helpful for getting meat out of the legs. I preferred the soy one just because the other one was a bit too spicy for me. The seafood pancake $24.99 was really good, lots of seafood inside and it gave us a good break from the crab. You can also get refills of the side dishes which was really nice. Overall, lovely experience here, the food was tasty and the waiters were nice. Food was kind of expensive but totally worth it!
