Nice Filipino style fast food place in Surrey. This was my second time trying their franchise food and it was about the same experience. Food are unique but not for everyone. I liked them but not loved them. Their peach mango pie is quite good though.Recommended dishesPeach Mango Pie
Waited in line for 2 hours on their 2nd day. There was a limit of $75 for max orders or 12 pieces of chicken. While it took a while, it was impressive to see them churn out all the large orders that people were there for. I got a Bucket Treat C and 2 Pineapple Quenchers to bring home. To be fair, the chicken wasn't that different from Church's, but it was good and crisp. The Peach Mango pies were still as outstanding as I remember from 20 years ago. The Palabok is good to satisfy a craving. Price is steep for what you get but I'm hoping it does go down as Jollibee becomes more established. Leaving room for improvement Jollibee, so 4-stars for your opening!
This branch of Jollibee in Surrey, BC has just opened a few weeks ago. It is in a great location, at the corner of a major highway, King George, at the ground level of a brand new building together woth well-known retail shops and coffee shops. There's street parking but there's a lot underground. Free parking for 1 hour. In case you need to extend, parking is around $4.75 per hour. To be honest, if you're not Filipino, you probably do not have any idea about the only fastfood in the world that has beaten the Golden Arch in their home turf. Filipinos are crazy about Jollibee, hence the 1-hour lineup even though it has been open already for 3 weeks. Their menu is like a combination of McDonalds and KFC and more. Here's my review of the food. The crispy chiken can hold it's own agsainst KFC. It's crunchy, tasty, the gravy is good and really enhances the flavour. I noticed they are big too. As far as I know, they are the only fastfood in Canada that has spaghetti. I personally like it. It's sweet and has sausage together with the sauce amd cheese. It's unlike your usual Italian Pasta. The palabok is a native dish. It"s noodles with it's own different sauce which I do not even know what's exactly in it but it's my favourite. The cheeseburger is just OK. I really love the sauce and the patty, I think the key is to eat it while it's still warm as the bun hardens a bit when it gets colder. I still like it though. Their dessert, the pies is delicious my wife always tell me to buy it. It's peach mango pie . They have a new one, coconut with pineapple. I ordered to go. They do have ample dining area but until the excitement dies down, prepare for always ordering to go. Service, jus like any other Jollibee, is awesome . Their crew can always work properly under pressure. I highly recommend this fastfood.
The chicken was surprisingly good. The flavor of the spicy chicken is far more desirable than the typical fast food fried chicken available here in Canada. I am thoroughly impressed with the taste and quality of this food. I would say that the fries are my new favorite based on all the fast food chains here. The peach/mango pie is very lovely, not too sweet. I have decided to give 4 starts based on the high prices set for this food, if it weren't so highly priced, I would give it a 5 star rating. I would recommend this establishment. For me, it may be a treat to eat this food every once in a while as the cost adds up very quickly. $4.99 for large fries is quite excessive. When I drove past a few times before trying it out, it was somewhat hard to find parking, but rest assured, there is free 1 hr parking down below in the shopping parkade . Beware, there is very limited seating, so takeout is the best option.
Update: The last time visited they were not serving the spicy chicken at all but they definitely improved on original chicken taste and overall quality! Well it’s finally here in King George! I think due to huge rush they are finding hard to manage the thing efficiently! Make sure when you are visiting there you have enough time. I found this Jollibee taste but different than Cambie street Jollibee specially the spice level but really can’t complain it was good
Went here for the first time 2 weeks ago. It took us about an hour to order and get our food, which is definitely a long time for fast food. The spicy chicken was unavailable by the time we ordered. The chicken itself wasn't the greatest. The mash patatos were super sweet, and the gravy was cold. The prices are pretty high as well! We ordered 5 pieces of chicken, 2 small fries, 2 sides, and a pie, and it was $50. This place is not worth the hype. We won't be going back.
First time ever trying Jollibee and must say that we are pleasantly surprised at how tasty it is! Absolutely loved everything we ordered. The staff members were super friendly and welcoming as well. Will definitely go back and next time we will make sure to order a bucket of chicken - so delicious!! In addition, we almost waited for 45 mins on a Saturday night so anticipate the wait time.
I struggled giving a 4 star review but I'm leaving room for improvement given all the circumstances. I love that there is finally a Jollibee in town. It's great to see filipino establishments become more mainstream. They are busy, so prepare to wait. With this in mind, you'll be surprised the wait isn't as long as you'd think. We waited longer for our food than we did in line to order. We came in about an hour to closing. They were still quite busy. We waited abt 15-20 min to order. And around 30+ for our food. Our parking just about expired leaving the restaurant. And btw, I think it's good to know that this location has underground parking. There is an hour free parking in the complex if you register at the meter. The food was good. The spaghetti met my expectations, and the fried chicken was crunchy and delicious. Though everyone knows the star is the peach mango pie. The new coconut pie is pretty good as well. There was gravy missing from my bag, which was a HUGE let down. I assumed it was always included. Either they forgot or something has changed. Sadness. The service was just as you expect. Even though they are really busy, the workers are still very friendly and attentive. They're having a jolly time wishing you a jolly day. We ordered the Bucket Deal with spaghetti and 3 pies, and the Palabok with a Pineapple Quencher. This will set you back ~ $57 but will leave your belly full and satisfied. If you love fried chicken, then Jollibee will not disappoint.
Opening day! Busy and long line up as expected with a limited menu to order from. Very reasonable prices with a good variety of food. Spaghetti was delicious and on the sweeter side which pairs great with fried chicken. The chicken was crispy, super juicy, and not greasy at all! The only downside was that at random times, I could taste the batter... which was weird. Mango pies were the perfect end to the meal. Crispy, flakey, and sweet. Where have they been all my life?? I reccommend!
Ordered online, good and fast service. Ordered 2 buckets of their spicy chicken, 2 lrg gravy, 1 spicy chicken burger meal and 1 palabok. Palabok is overpriced, small portion with 2 tiny eggs on the side. Not worth the $8.95 for palabok. At least add better eggs on the side. ***came by today and ordered 2 chicken sandwich deluxe and 2 buckets of chicken and mango peach pie. My kids loves loves the spicy chicken. Also I want to say they have the best service. Everyone is just so friendly and happy. Thank you to all their staff for an amazing job that being said, I changed my rating to 5*
