I just got off the phone with Jennifer Schultz. The daughter of the owner and founder of this great company. She took a moment to share a bit about her father and brother and a couple nieces that all work in the company. She was pleasant and very personable. We had our church rebuilt after an arson fire several years ago. The exterior hose bib has started to leak recently. With freezing temperature closing on us we wanted to replace the stem and cartridge to prevent potentially more damage. Since Schultz is a wholesaler and we obviously do not have an account with them, she pulled the last 2 units out of their inventory. And shipped them out to us in British Columbia. At no charge! Strictly out of the goodness of their hearts and out of the depth of their character. Again I state what a "Great Company."

I have the same problem as Douglas Lenart had 3 years ago with the Aqua-Dynamic Frost-Free Wall Hydrant. All installed nicely but..... what is that screw-on cap on top for in model 1392-080? Bad engineering? Missing o-ring? There is one small o-ring but the water pisses out when I turn on the tap. Like Douglas, I bought the last one on Rona’s shelf. All the rest had female fittings and I needed a male. So what is the purpose of this leaky “hydrant”?????? Nancy in the West Island

Great Customer Service! I had a minor issue with a 'new' hydrant valve I installed. The hydrant valve I purchased was the last one on the self at Home Depot and was an 'open box'.... maybe a returnno tag, a couple of scuff marks but no visible signs of previous installation. I wanted that length of valve so I took a chance and made the purchase. The valve did not work properly. Before I went to the effort of pulling out the valve and returning it to Home Depot not a trivial activity, I called John L Schultz's Customer service line they were terrific to deal with. My initial contact was by phone with a couple of follow-up emails to make sure I was going to get all the right valve stem assembly part. Once I confirmed which part number I needed, the parts were promptly shipped. I received the new valve stem in just a day or so. Installation was easy and everything works great now. It was sure better than pulling the entire valve and returning it Home Depot. If you have a problem with Aqua-dynamic valve, I would highly recommend calling to see if they can help you out with parts.

Sometimes people are friendly, sometimes they're not. The Canadian women are not open-minded and the job is not difficult.
