Had the absolute pleasure at 13 way back in1982 of spending 4 months here while my late mum was studying at Calgary university.nHad a total blast - Canadians are the coolestnMartin FoulnernKilsyth Scotland
There were a few wonderful people here, such as Mrs. DeMassi. However, the school itself does not feel safe. At lunch, you have to constantly be on watch for people trying to pick fights, and if ever there are problems with other students, DeMassi is the only one that will listen. I got told to see a therapist when I was nervous because of a person in a grade above me making me uncomfortable. “Maybe you should talk to a professional, because chances are you’re seeing things that aren’t there.”nNot only is it unsafe, with kids that are ruining their lives and others, but it feels as if you’re always being watched by people who do not have good intentions. There are drugs, fights, macing, and ignorant people surrounding the school. Mrs. DeMassi is an amazing person, and if ever you struggle with anything, always go to her.
Basketball coaches got all these accolades but pick height over skill so funny how two years in a row they don’t put people that grew up playing basketball together on the same team because they want “balance” that dosent help you win and it’s not fun at all for those kids. and I read a review about how they only help smart students that’s true, if you are a quiet student you will struggle here because the teachers just seem to not care I loved the junior basketball coaches even though I was robbed in a alley by a grade 12 the coaches really showed they cared about us
It takes one teacher to shape a child’s entire future and have them believe in themselves. That person for my daughter is the Assistant Principal, Mrs.Demassi. To say Mrs. Demassi went above and beyond in assisting my daughter with her future plans and setting goals is an understatement. Mrs.Demassi provided her expert knowledge, simplified issues at hand, and provided unparalleled guidance for a successful future. Thank you for all you have done.nn“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”nMalala Yousafzai
I am honestly hesitant in giving this school a one star. The teachers here are helpful sometimes, but most of the time they are usually fixated on helping only the smart students in the class. When I was in class, most of the teachers didn't even seem like they cared for there students. I really regret going to this school, and I can say for a fact that Uni is so much better than this place. F dief
