My in-laws live nearby and we have passed Joey multiple times in the last years. An extended family member recommended this place after she had been to it herself. And boy, it did not disappoint. Aside from the great location along the harbour of North Van and the view of downtown Vancouver, the atmosphere is just great. Lots of people around and you can feel all the energy and great vibes. The food itself was delicious and well presented see pictures. There is a good range of options on the menu. Service shoutout to David was excellent and accommodating. We were also served a non-alcoholic drink while waiting to be seated. In short: we had a great time there before heading back to Europe. We will definitely come back again next time we are visiting.
We stopped for dinner and got a table for 4 on the patio upstairs. The views and atmosphere were great. Maybe a bit on the noisy side but it still had a good vibe. Each of us ordered something different for main and dessert and every single dish was delicious. I always thought of Joeys as more of a standard chain so I didn’t expect much. But I was definitely wrong. This ended up being one of the best meals w’ve had in a while in Vancouver. We will certainly go back!
Visited Joey Shipyard for the first time — such an amazing location with stunning ocean views.nnTried their hummus and guacamole — both were absolutely superb! Paired it with some craft and lager beers while enjoying the scenic beauty.nnA must-visit spot and a perfect way to spend the evening!
In an epoch wherein dining experiences oft oscillate between mediocrity and mere functionality, my recent culinary encounter was rendered singularly remarkable — owing in no small part to the consummate professionalism and preternatural attentiveness of one Caitlin W., whose service may aptly be described as a masterclass in hospitality excellence.nnFrom the moment of our ingress, Caitlin’s demeanor exuded a composure both poised and perceptibly intuitive — anticipating our unspoken needs with the sort of dexterity more commonly attributed to mind readers than servers. Her cadence of speech, precise yet warm, was matched only by her meticulous attentiveness to the sequencing of our courses, ensuring a gastronomic progression both harmonious and unhurried.nnThe victuals, to their immense credit, bore the hallmarks of a kitchen not merely competent, but inspired — and yet, it was Caitlin’s deft orchestration of our entire experience that elevated the meal from satisfactory to sublime. One scarcely finds such synchrony of grace, efficiency, and unfeigned sincerity in the realm of customer service.nnIn sum: were one to compile a taxonomy of elite hospitality practitioners, Caitlin W. would not merely deserve inclusion — she would demand it.
Honestly the best restaurant I had in the whole Vancouver experience, from the location of the restaurant with the architecture, to the view, and of course the delicious food, I really had a wonderful moment with my girlfriend.nThe only downside is the noise but honestly it wasn't even that much of a problem because we could talk without shouting, only talking a bit louder was needed.nnStephanie really pampered us from start to finish, with a perfect service, a huge smile and good energy that was very much of a blessing after the whole hiking day we had in the surrounding mountains.nI took the rib-eye steak, which can be a bit expensive but honestly very worth it to enjoy on a vacation. and not that much expensive if you ask me. Our twos pieces of meat were perfectly cooked rare or nothing for meat please people and the meat was really good.nThe detail of seeing the kitchen and the kitchen staff at work was a real addition to such a beautiful place.nnI didn't plan to have dessert but as you'll see in the picture, we got one nonetheless, which was the final touch to a perfect dinner.nnIn conclusion : come eat at this place, even with our dirty and non-chic clothes we were welcomed with a kind heart and the moment was fabulous
