The poke was very good! It’s definitely a more Togo place though then dine in as most of the place doesn’t have tables to eat at but I would come back for something quick. However hot food was a 40 min wait so we didn’t get that and the lady was pretty short with us probably because she was so busy. So come for the food but not really anything else
the poke here is so so delicious. the flavors are great, and the price is reasonable. definitely recommend!
Great fresh poke. It’s a great perk of the UMN campus. However, they recently raised their prices so it’s about $15 for a medium bowl. The serving size is a little of the smaller size too, but the quality of the food makes up for it. The egg on top is great.
Poke bowl was very good. High quality fresh ingredients. Friendly staff. The only reason for the 4 star and not 5 is due to the lack of meat. The medium bowl had half of what I receive at other Poke places in the area for similar price. Otherwise excellent.
If you’re thinking of trying poke for the first time, go here. Being able to fill out your own order card is great for people who are intimated by new things like myself. It’s expensive, but it’s so delicious that I just keep coming back.
Ordered delivery and everything was neatly packaged. Was really impressed by the portion sizes of the poke bowl and the vegetarian ramen. The poke bowl actually lasted me for 2 meals. The fish tasted fresh, though I wished the rice had been a little more vinegary. The takoyaki was delicious and filling and contained an appropriate amount of octopus pieces. They didn't skimp at all on the Bonito flakes. Will definitely order again.
Very fresh and great value. It’s like a Japanese version of Chipotle! Also I love the contrast between the warm sushi rice and the cold, flavorful toppings. They let you add so many types of toppings. Friendly staff. Clean establishment.
We have never gone wrong by stopping in here for dinner. It's usually the first thing asked for dinner by my teen age boys.Food: 5/5
Jj’s poke is everything. So great. I get it at least once a week often more than that. It’s fresh, great quality, the sauces hit every time. It’s also very approachable for newbies to poke with their build your own option.
Ordered from Uber Eats for lunch at work today after an amazing experience with another poke restaurant in a different area, and I found myself sorely disappointed. For purpose of my review, I ordered a poke bowl with white rice, ahi tuna, mango, cucumber, pickled daikon, edamame, and avocado I won't list any toppings or sauces as that isn't important [Pictured is my order after attempting to eat it, it was actually plated fairly well] The fish itself was tough and clearly not fresh having a vaguely fishy odour and taste that I haven't experienced from other raw seafood restaurants before, not to mention that the colouring wasn't as pink as it should be even taking the sauce into consideration. The avocado was sour, and just a puree scooped into the bowl. The edamame were oversteamed, lacked colour, and tasted distinctly salty. The mango was also obviously not fresh, as it was soft and lacked much flavour. All I'm all, I'm truly not impressed with my order today, and I'm sad that I had to find out AFTER having spent my money.
