Big interior, really nice decor and clean environment. Staff is extremely friendly and attentive, while the food came quickly! The price point is a bit high, however. We ordered the cold noodles, seafood pancake, and jajangmyeon. The cold noodles tasted flavourful and authentic. The pancake did not have that much seafood, but it was tasty. Lastly, the jajangmyeon was our least favourite, it tasted a bit flat and the noodles stuck to each other. Overall flavours are what you would expect but the value could have been better in comparison to other Korean restaurants.
I do not always recommend a Korean restaurant in Toronto. I usually don't as they are overpriced and mediocre in quality to my Korean palate. My non-Korean friend really wanted to try a Korean restaurant for the first time and I took him there based on the Google Review ratings in the area. There was/is definitely a reason why this place is rated so high. The foods were so good that my friend and I both finished them clean. The prices were relatively cheaper than most Korean restaurants in the city but portions were way bigger. The owner and staffs there are so kind and "Korean-mother-like" that I felt so welcome there. For the rainy and chilly weather today, I had and it was so hearty. I do not think of many Korean restaurants that offer this dish in a masterful way but Jin Dal Lae is definitely one of them. My friend really liked this restaurant that he is hoping to bring his mom here. If you want to have a good Korean food experience, try Jin Dal Lae. I do not think you will be disappointed.
Two words. Generous portions. For a good price too! We were craving the thin donkatsu which hit the spot although less sauce could be used but no sweat, you can you scrape it off and you’re good. We ordered goat stew, steak tartare and omurice or fried rice I can’t remember what it is on the menu. Please refer to the steak tartare photo because IT IS HUGE. We didn’t intend on ordering it until we saw it being served to another table and literally was star struck at the ginormous size perfect with the egg yolk and the julienned Asian pear. The egg on the omurice was so perfect too. A good spot to check out if you want some home cooked tasting Korean food.
My all time favourite korean restaurant in Toronto. Foods are authentic and delicious. I’m a spicy seafood tofu stew lover. Their tofu stew is the best in town and I also really like their spicy beef stew as well. Worth the wait always!!!
Great cozy place for korean soup on a cold day. I quite enjoy the soup, flavor was well balanced. We also tried their steam egg soup. reasonably priced. Will return to try their bbq and fried chicken.Food: 4/5
Hands down my favourite Korean Restaurant! The dishes are delicious, specifically the dumplings are incredible! I am constantly craving their food. The only bad thing about this restaurant is that it’s so far away from me! I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.
My go to Korean restaurant. The waitress is always very friendly, the food tastes great and comes in large portions and the price is cheaper than many other korean restaurants. Their pork bone soup and cold buckwheat noodles are my go to orders!
Very generous portions, seasoning and flavours were amazing! Great staff, definitely recommend to check it out. There might be a lineup but definitely worth it!
Amazing food and some of the best service around. Super friendly waiting staff. Food came out quickly and truly everything was authentic and delicious. Highly recommend the spicy pork neck, seafood Korean pancakes, and rice cakes. Fair warning the portion sizes are absolutely massive so be prepared for some takeaway. Prices are very reasonable. One of the best places in Korea town. Will be back for sure.
We came during the lunchtime and didn’t queue. Wait for a while after ordering, but the foods came together at once. Dishes are hot and fresh, tasty and pricey. They cooked which is the best I’ve tasted in trt. Would come again!
