Honest food with generous portions and busy but cordial staff.nnWorth a visit!
Great food. Not busy when we were there Thursday for lunch. Our waitress was lovely and not pushy no server there is so you can relax!. Good value. My client who had never tried Lebanese food before loved it...and I brought home dinner for my son who was thrilled too.
We had a big group dinner with many shared dishes. Not enough staff on hand for the full Sunday evening crowd so service was slow to start. Hummous, bread, tabouleh, falafel, fattoush, stewed tomatoes, fried eggplant, chicken, beef, rice and salad. Food was hot and delicious.
I went in expecting a solid, classic Middle Eastern meal, but overall it was not so good and I left disappointed.nnThe menu has all the staples hummus, falafel, baba ghanouj, fattoush, kofta/skewers, etc., but the execution felt inconsistent. The dips were okay but not memorable, and several items tasted bland or like they’d been sitting too long. The grilled meats were the biggest letdown: not very tender, and the seasoning didn’t come through the way it should in a place known for this kind of food.nnService also wasn’t great. It felt rushed and not very attentive, and it was hard to get simple things handled smoothly. The overall atmosphere is more old and dated than “cozy,” and at the prices they charge, I expected a cleaner, more polished experience.nnBottom line: there are better Middle Eastern options in the city. I might try again only if someone else insisted, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.
I’ve been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years — it’s right across from our business, and it truly feels like part of the neighborhood. The food is always fresh, clean, and delicious, and we’ve never once had any issue or upset stomach in all these years. The place is spotless, and the owner is a wonderful, caring man with a big heart who treats everyone like family.nnThis restaurant is not just a restaurant — it’s a kitchen for the whole neighborhood. The food is made with love, care, and consistency, and you can always count on it to be safe and high quality.nnIt’s sad to see any negative comments, because after 20 years of eating here almost every day, I can confidently say their food is always fresh, trustworthy, and made from the heart. We’re so lucky to have them in our community!
