Very neglected park, but really charming. The trails are half overgrown but it was really unexpected to come across such a tranquil lake! We went down the road just to “see what’s there”
The lake has fish! Beautiful hiking landscape where the dam washed out 4 years ago.
The sidewalk along the bank from the boat dock to the beach is nice. However, the two fishing docks that we're there are now gone. I don't know why. They were so nice for fishing off of. ***Update*** Checked out the park/lake today July 17, 2019 and it's almost completely drained from the 2018 flood. Looks ugly and gross. Hopefully the state will get some help to fix this in the near future.
The dam broke last year at jersey valley and it's been closed forever. We just went to check it out and it's no longer really a lake, but there's some cool rock formations and a little river to hike by and explore so it's still pretty. No functioning bathroom at this time
Scenic! Fun for the whole family: Picnicking, hiking, swimming, fishing! Large picnic pavilion, hiking trail all the way around the lake. Clean beach. Boat ramp and lots of large mouth bass! The boat ramp is a bit challenging to access, near impossible if you have a pontoon boat. There's just not much room to maneuver your tow vehicle.
Good spot to watch the sunset
Beautiful beach, 5k of trails around the lake for hiking or running, and lots of bass and bluegills if you like to fish. Peaceful spot since no gas motors are allowed. Playground and shelter available. No camping.
Super cool place!
The water level is way down, way past where the beach used to be and is now overgrown. The water is 6 to 8 feet deep or less and there are still bass and bluegill.
Very disappointing. See the attached pictures. All over grown, lake isn't much more than a puddle.
