Great place to rent mountain bikes. Fair pricing, quality bikes and very knowledgeable staff. The guy at the counter recommended some amazing trails and scenery to check out. We had the opportunity to see a bunch of Elks and Deers along our trails too. They are currently open later than a lot of other places and you can keep your bike over night.
I have been coming here forever!! Renting experiences have always been fantastic. This year I purchased boots and had some circulation trouble when on the hill…. They were amazing at making sure I had boots that would work well for me… I can’t give them greater praise!! At least a decade of great experiences on the hill because of their fantastic service
Stopped by Source for Sports today to see if they could help us get some replacement bolts for our Yakima Bike Rack. Kogi checked to see what they might have but made no promises. He did find one that would work and gave us the metric and SAE if we decided to check other places. He was very helpful and on top of that didn’t charge us! Great experience!
Ordered a $2000+ bike, confirmed the pickup date twice over the phone, still arrived from out of town to find the bike had not yet been assembled. They rushed to get the bike ready for us and we left with it later that afternoon. Since we were promised a 30-day tune up before buying the bike, and since the bike never shifted gears correctly, we called and booked a tune up for the bike. Again, we confirmed the appointment in advance the day before over the phone. This time, the shop was not even open when we arrived for our tune up appointment. There was a shop closure to support a local race which is great btw - they just failed to remember to re-book our appointment. We later booked ANOTHER tune up and came in from Hinton, just to have the female owner tell us that we don’t need a tune up and that it’s abnormal to want a tune up after buying a bike. She proceeded to tell me the bike works perfectly and “came ready to ride out of the box”, so it is impossible to have any issues because “no assembly is required”. Their mechanic then took in my bike and tuned it up and now it works great. I guess something did go wrong when they quickly slapped my bike together. Extremely rude ownership that does not appreciate what it means to earn a customer. I will never let these people touch any of my family or friends’ bikes ever again.
Was travelling through Jasper on a week end. They took my bike in 30 minutes after calling. They're repaired it real quick so I could explore. Great service!
Absolutely wonderful staff! I went in to buy a pair of skates and it was such an awesome experience! I bought the skates and had them sharpened immediately by Marc L, he did a fantastic job and they feel great on the ice! They were heat molded in store and the staff even tied them up for me l, definitely made me laugh! Thanks Koji!! If you're looking for a great experience with knowledgeable staff I cannot recommend Jasper Source for Sports enough!
I rented XC skis, boots and poles from here and the staff person helping me was friendly, helpful, and quick. Rental rates were cheap, too! They pointed me to the Moab Lake Trail and it was gorgeous and amazing and didn't see another person for the entire 2 hours--what a bang-on recommend! And here's the kicker: when returning the equipment my phone fell out of my pocket and I didn't realize it until I got to Calgary that night! Yikes! Find My iPhone showed me it was sitting in the store, so I called them the next morning, and the folks there were super great, we laughed about it, and they shipped it back to me via courier so I got my phone back in 3 business days. AND THEY WOULDN'T TAKE MONEY FOR IT. Pretty much top-tier costumer service maybe a little over the top if you ask me, but I'm sure thankful for their over-achievement! So yeah: Strong recommend for these folks, and next time I want to rent skis in Jasper, I know where I'm gonna go. 7/5 stars.
We’ve bought all our Kuma chairs from the Source. Been happy with the staff and service. Our latest purchase, heated Kuma chair, had an intermittent charging issue. Brought it back and they exchanged the defective battery pack. Problem solved. Thanks guys.
Great little shop. Stopped in for a life jacket and ended up grabbing water shoes as well. Great service
Very friendly and supportive staff. I went in when they had their morning rush on Saturday morning. I asked if they have a bike box that I can have since I need to box my bike to get it on the shuttle to Lake Louise. They were too busy so I went back to my hostel and when I came back, the staff said he didn’t forget about me and he will go check for it right now. He told me they have 2 boxes and they charge $15 for a bike box. I was hesitating but his manager told him to just give it to me. That was very nice of him. Since my hostel is right next door, I had to take my bike back and the manager helped me taking off the pedals and showed me how to do it and how to put them back. I had to come back one more time because of my multi tool fell apart so I had to borrow theirs to remove the handlebar. All 3 times, they were very helpful and friendly. They asked about my bike trip and my time in Jasper. I would definitely recommend this place. I didn’t make any purchase but it seems like they get a very good collection of bikes and accessories.
