Jasper Downtown Hostel

It's a hostel, so no frills: everything you need, nothing you don't. My wife and I had a private room with en suite bath: queen bed, pedestal sink, toilet, and tiny shower. We had our own air conditioner. The room has lots of shelves, hooks, benches, and nightstands / stools for all our gear. Everything was clean and well-maintained. It stayed quiet during our stay. Of course you can use the kitchen and even a gas BBQ grill to prepare your own meals. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's right on Patricia Street, one of the two parallel dining-and-shopping streets in downtown Jasper. It's one block from the Jasper Park Information Centre, across the street from a convenience store, and a short walk from two full-service grocery stores. There is free street parking nearby. Warm bed, cold AC, hot shower, affordable, and located in the middle of everything -- we had a fantastic stay during our visit to Jasper NP!

We stayed here as a family of six, including two elderly parents and two young children ages 3 and 5, and had a wonderful experience.nnOur private room with five bunk beds and an ensuite bathroom was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bunks can get a little warm at times, but opening the window with the insect mesh provided good ventilation. The shared kitchen was also very well equipped and we were able to prepare full meals for our entire family without any issues. Do note that it can get quite busy during peak meal hours.nnA big thank you to Alejandro and the team for running such a welcoming hostel. The quality of a hostel ultimately comes down to its people, and it was clear throughout our stay that the team genuinely cares about its guests.nnIn particular, we’d like to give a special shoutout to Franz. He consistently went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. Our children quickly became fond of “Uncle Franz,” and he always treated them with patience, kindness, and genuine warmth. Beyond that, he took the time to get to know us, share stories, and make us feel at home despite being thousands of miles away from our own.nnTravelling often introduces you to beautiful places, but it’s the people you meet who leave the deepest impression. Franz was one of those people, and our family will remember his kindness long after we’ve forgotten the details of our itinerary.nnThank you again to the entire team for making our stay such a memorable one.

My Garmin watch genuinely gave me the best sleep score I’ve had in the entire 6 weeks I’ve been in Canada, in an 8 person mixed dorm single bed - such is the quality of mattress and room. On top of this, kitchen is clean and has all the amenities, bathrooms were well looked after, and above all the staff were incredibly kind, and went well out of their way to help us with all our questions and queries.nnIf I could give more than 5 stars I would, was a really great hostel

We were family of 3 and the staff asked if we want to stay in same dorm room10beds, which is pretty nice! The roomates are mostly early birds while our family are night owls, though it is fine overall. The only thing abt the room is that the air is not very fresh, wasnt sure if there is a window or smth.nThe staff is friendly, love the old dude

the hostel is realy clean,good position very nice patio and big room for dormitory.ni did like the kitchen close at 10 pm11 would be good and also the staff on the reception is look like they hate that job,everyone so serius no smile,nyou arrive ask you passport explain the hostel done whitout emotionnthe hostel atmosphere is not that one.nand also i asked for pubblic bus or some trial or few base information about jasper they just told go to info centeriyou should know the basic stuff if you working there
