Jammies Diner

I had really wanted to give this restaurant four stars. I’ve been many times before and had excellent, enjoyable meals. My only criticism was going to be that the menu is unwelcoming to vegetarians. There are few items that are actually veggie, but many that can be made veggie with a simple substitution. It would be really nice to have these options laid out in the menu, rather than having to ask for a special order. For example, the Basic Breakfast and it’s more elaborate variations could easily be made veggie friendly by adding in the option to substitute an additional egg or two, or a piece of cheese, instead of the meat selections. After all they have a kids menu and a keto menu, which is great. Adding some veg options would raise the rating up to five stars. But last Saturday in I went to review the joint and unfortunately there were many issues. First off, we were greeted with the words “You know we close at 2” which is hardly welcoming. There were numerous problems with the service and the food: there was nowhere to put my teabag, no salt & pepper on the table nor were we asked if we’d like any. There was no mustard available. We weren’t asked if we wanted water, and the server never came to see how our meal was. And unforgivably for a breakfast restaurant, my poached eggs were swimming in water. Also, they seem to have done away with their loyalty program. Based on that one visit, I rate them a two, but I’m bumping it up to three because of my prior good experiences there. I’m hoping that this visit was an aberration and not a permanent change and I’ll be happy to revise my rating upwards if my next meal there is back up to their usual standards.

Arrived a hour before closing. I was notified when I arrivedl. I quickly Ordered an omelet well done with light cheese, well done bacon, tomato and onion. Comes with home fries and rye toast. I also ordered a coffee. The omelet was good. Cooked the way I like it. Bacon wasn't well done though. The home fries were ok. Coffee was ok. Service was good. Experience was good till the end. Elderly woman walked in 30 min before closing and wanted to order the basic breakfast. She was told they close in 30 min. She asked again if she could order and sit. They said that's fine. But from the original tone they wanted to close. I wasn't allowed to order gravy because the chef wasn't going to make a new batch. They advised me they close in a hour. Overall I probably would return. But might skip the home fries and coffee. Clean restaurant. Just won't come close to closing time. They really want to leave. 3.8 stars

Wow! This place was awesome. Great options for people with different dietary needs. Had the keto Benny and was so very happy. Eggs cooked perfectly. My sons had an omelette and the veggie skillet, sides of French toast and pancakes and they said everything was perfect.

I enjoyed the quick service and the presentation of my breakfast wrap. Lots of room to sit. Prices are fair. Wifi is available.

Food is fantastic! Portions are generous, price is right! Atmosphere is casual and the staff are wonderful! Highly recommend the meat lovers skillet!

Love this place, it's a small, cozy, very relaxed atmosphere, I love the staff. Mel & Connor are the best They always have smiles for you, love the owner Michelle, very friendly & interacts with all her guests the food is fabulous & best part is if you're Keto this the place to be.

We had high hopes for this place as our new breakfast spot as there are not many good breakfast places in the area. The restaurant definitely looked cute, but that’s where the good experience ends. The server was very sweet and nice, but did not check in on us after we got our food, never refilled our coffees, we didn’t even get ketchup or syrup on our table for a good 10 minutes after our food came out. I asked for a little bit of fresh or any kind of fruit for my French Toast, the kitchen apparently had zero fruit of any kind. That seemed very strange to me. My husbands order came out wrong, and since we were never checked in on, it was not corrected. Clearly there needs to be two servers working at any given time, or else a more experienced server person. The bathroom was “ok”, I’ve seen worse, but it was definitely not clean. Mysterious food stuck on the wall, floors unclean, toilet covered in old urine, toilet paper dispenser broken. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but I don’t think we’ll be back to find out.

Everything about this place was great. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us frequently. The atmosphere has a very nice family feel. I had the 2nd largest breakfast option on the menu with coffee. The coffee was freshly brewed and the food was also hot and fresh. Overall my meal was excellent. Eggs were perfect, bacon, sausage and home fries were delicious. Definitely recommend.

Food was amazing. Had their keto food. So much flavour.

Great Food! Great Price! Great Atmosphere!! Jammies is the place to eat all the food is incredible and it is a place you can go sit and relax. If you are looking for a breakfast that will keep you coming back for more this is the place to eat!! Delicious !!!
