Only giving 4 stars because so few are a perfect 5. That said, this is a solid chain that knows very well what they are doing in the kitchen and on the dining floor. First rate in all categories. ...honestly. Have been to other same name locations around Chicago. Family dining, business lunch or evening date will be a very good experience. I like dining in the bar area as it seems cozier.

My wife and I take the family here every New Year's Eve. We expect the crowds and the wait but the food is always consistent and they don't noticeably jack the prices up for the holiday. What we did not expect was to get seated in the unheated, half empty meat locker called the party room. On a very cold New Year's Eve we had hoped for a little warmth while we ate. However the longer we sat the more we noticed the lack of heat. The other party in the room agreed it was an unpleasant dining experience and well below the usual Jameson's standards. Why use the room at all if you're too cheap to heat it properly?

Classic steakhouse fare, but also able to accommodate for all. I attended with a large group on a weekday lunch as others were coming for business lunches. The steak options are well varied to serve a large or small appetite. They also offer a number of decent alternatives for those looking for something lighter. The decor is bright and welcoming and the non-prime time service was very attentive.

My wife and I love this place. You should get a reservation to get in quickly. The wait staff is always pleasant and if you like drinks you will not be dissappointed!

Went to dinner with my wife last night, Monday. Got there and we're both surprised there were many people for a Monday. When we entered the restaurant, we're warmly greeted by the young hostess. We're also acknowledged by the manager, I think. I appreciate that. Some restaurants host/hostess/manager don't acknowledge or greet their patrons sometimes unless you go to the podium or station where they're at. I don't like it when they act like they don't see you At Jameson's, we're greeted/acknowledged properly. I hope they never lose that touch. My wife and I were seated in a few minutes. We kindly requested a booth if they have it. They promptly cleaned one that was occupied a few minutes ago. As soon as the booth was ready, the hostess asked us to follow her. She was smiling and pleasant the whole time. We felt very welcome. Thank you. We sat down and got settled in our booth. A few seconds later, our waitress gave us the menu and the evening's specials. She was attentive but not too attentive. She gave us our space and we appreciate that. My wife ordered the 10oz ribeye steak and I ordered the 16oz NY strip steak. Both our steaks were cooked properly (medium-well for her, medium for me). Our meal came with soup and salad, choice of potato and vegetable (Asparagus). Love the baked potato! For the food, service, atmosphere, Jameson's quite reasonable. I'd go here for steak if I want someone else to cook the steak I want to eat. Thank you for a good evening.
