I ordered online via google maps for delivery which was fulfilled DoorDash. The delivery driver arrived to the restaurant to be told they had a computer glitch and just started the order. Okay so we waited about 30-40 minutes longer. My Thai Noodle Salad arrived without any protein and in a pool of liquid and brown avocado. Another time I tried to order from this restaurant via phone they put me on hold for >10 minutes and forgot I was on the line. I was hoping online ordering would be easier. My salad was very watery and the overall flavor was okay but hard to know what it is supposed to taste like. Not sure if their pricing is worth the hassle.
An average steakhouse with above-average steak & chefs! I grabbed a seat at the bar, and was immediately greeted by a very friendly and cordial bartender who promptly took my order. I can’t remember what cut I ordered, but it was actually properly seasoned! Unfortunately too many steakhouses don’t season their dishes properly, if at all, which really takes away from the meal. Typically this kind of service would just warrant a 4/5 star experience from me, but when I stopped in here I was on the middle of a road trip in my RV. I asked if I could stay in their parking lot overnight until sunrise, and they allowed it which was very kind of them. I would not recommend doing this though, since I had two uncomfortable experiences with strange individuals in the middle of the night in this lot. Not the restaurant’s fault though! Great food and great staff!
Our first experience with Jakers Bar and Grill let's just say... it was a HIT!! A 10/10. We had the fish and chips, crunchy, fresh fish, good size portion, fries were seasoned perfectly... the chicken tenders were juicy, crunchy batter with the perfect amount of seasoning. The dinner rolls were OUTSTANDING, and the butter had a sweat take to it. We also had the Lobster Bisque... it was the best I've had anywhere!! Well worth every penny! If you're in the Missoula area, I'd say stop in and get you some AMAZING FOOD!!
1st time eatting at Jakers and I am not disappointed. The food and service are top shelf! Everything from the salad to the main meal was excellent! I will be back very soon. Our server was Dezirae and I will ask for her section every time we come in.
I love this place. I’ve only ever tried to the location in Idaho which is always good so when I saw there was a location in Missoula, it was a no brainer. The steak was cooked perfectly accompanied by loaded mashed potatoes and a cup of their chicken tortilla soup. I wish I had room for dessert, but I was too full. I highly recommend this place.
I hate to share such a bad review but my experience was pretty bad. I ordered the cap steak by recommendation of the waitress who was generally pretty nice and understanding. When it arrived I took 2 bites from the edge and it tasted fine but as I cut deeper I noticed it was practically raw inside. I had ordered medium rare and it was beyond rare. I asked the waitress to take it back which she happily did, noting herself that it was too rare. She came back with it a few minutes later. I knew something was wrong when she said the plate was hotter than before… pretty much telling me they microwaved it. I didn’t complain, though. As I cut into it again it was still raw! And since it had been microwaved the texture was unpleasant. For a $33 meal this should not have happened. But then it got worse! Keep in mind that I was very composed and calm. I wasn’t rude in any way and the waitress even apologized for my “disaster of a meal”. I asked her to take the steak away which she did. I considered leaving to eat elsewhere but I was pretty hungry so I decided to order something else. The sides mashed potatoes and broccoli were left on the table. I asked for utensils since mine had been taken as I figured I’d eat the sides while I waited for my food as I was starving. I ordered a regular cheeseburger thinking what could go wrong with a cheeseburger…. well that was answered. It came out several minutes later. The cheese was like half solid and half melted which wasn’t too appealing but other than that it looked decent. Then about 3 bites into it it completely fell apart. The meat split apart and all of the toppings fell out. To make it worse, it was just a burger on a plate… no fries just the burger. I had finished the two sides from the steak already so I asked why it didn’t come with fries. She said that the sides from the steak counted as my side for the burger!!! So you mess up my steak twice, leave me without a meal other than the sides for a decent amount of time and then you count the sides which were almost cold by the time I got the utensils from the first order as the sides for my burger??? What type of customer service is that? I don’t fully blame the waitress as I’m almost certain the problem was in the back of house but it was the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a while. I try to leave only positive reviews for restaurants as I’m well aware of the impact reviews can have on business but this was so ridiculous I had to leave a review. I’m not sure if I’ll ever go back but if I do I hope the experience is immeasurably better.
I’m not one to write reviews, but this was awful! I got food to go, and it was terrible. Spent $25 on extremely over cooked chicken strips, for a business that is supposed to be “fancy” I’ve had better chicken strips at fast food joints. Really unfortunate.

Food and drinks were delicious! Service was great! Our waitress was sweet and even though it was extremely busy, she was very attentive. With that said, I had an accidental trip in the bathroom and hurt my knee. My foot hooked a fairly good sized gap in the tile which tripped me and I hit my knee on the toilet. My foot and knee started swelling right away. Immediately afterwards I notified an employee who had come into the bathroom. The staff was kind and offered me ice. I was embarrassed that it happened to begin with and just wanted to eat and leave. As our food was delivered to our table, a manager I presume came to my table with a clipboard and asked quite loudly for me to fill out an incident report. I was embarrassed and other patrons were staring. I took a couple of bites and asked for a to go box. Not my favorite first impression.
Took my son there for his 21st birthday this October.. I went last year and was horribly disappointed; but decided to give it another go!! I was impressed; it's back in my #1 restaurants in Missoula: A definite go to place, again.. worth the money, staff was fabulous.. I was extremely satisfied this go around, and I'll definitely be going back.. UPDATE: returned again April 2022.. the food was absolutely disgusting I was really bummed!! The steak was burned on the outside, & it was so raw the inside it was still frozen. The soup was like water, and the drinks were disgusting, as well.. sad truly! The waitress was sweet, it wasn't her fault that everything literally was BAD! I don't know if I'll go back again, cost me close to $170 dollars including a tip!! Not acceptable.. it was packed, and I saw a lot of people that looked just as disappointed as I was.. I'll update if I ever return even the salad was screaming to go back into the bag, lol.. just awful : My 6 year old grandson even spit out his pizza; that's pretty bad!!
