VACCINATION certificate is MUST in every dining place nowadays SOFT OR HARD COPY. The place is cool, they have a plenty of beer choices. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The prices of beer varies from 6$-9$, wine glasses 12$-16$.... Food portions were good but fried things were very oily fried fries, onion rings. I love their buffalo Salad with ranch. I didn't like that the waitress charged each one of us 18% gratuity tip directly on the bill without giving us the choice to choose our own percentage to pay her tip. Weekends you might need to book in advance or you'll end up waiting for a table for an hour or more.
Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Have not been back for many years, but this spot STILL one of the best non-chain wings in Chicago with a homey and casual feel for a spot in the heart of Downtown Chicago. Pictured here are Pigs In A Blanket, and Jake's Famous Wings - opted for PB+J which came with a spicy jelly on the side, thick PB coating, flavors reminiscent of Chicken Satay, and Traditional Buffalo Medium. Will be back!
Recently came here and thought it was overall a decent experience. The wings were really, really good. The medium Buffalo was awesome and I really enjoyed it. The special, Jake and the giant peach was decent though I’d probably opt for something else if I came back. The wings were made very well and were extremely crispy. A little bummed that you only get 8 wings though for close to $20 if you choose 2 sauces. The sides we had were also very good. The fried pickles are a must get, easily my favorite thing I ate here. The cheese curds were also really good though. Both sides felt worth their price to me. They also have a very extensive beer menu. They have tons of options on tap and everything I tried was really good. If it wasn’t such a premium to eat here I’d probably come back more often.
First time and was incredible. Wings are as good as your favorite uncles or cousins or old time recipes. The sandwiches are very tasty and delicious. The staff are personable and very attentive. Loved our visit.
If you come here, stick to wings, pretzels, and beer. The Pretzel was my favorite part. It came hot freshly baked, tasted heavenly. The Cheese was not melted properly though. I tried the bbq wings, and they were fun to eat with great flavor. We also tried nachos, briskets, and mac n cheese they were very poor in flavor and quality. The portions are huge, insanely big. I did not like it and felt like a waste of food and money. Staff were friendly, but food quality below average even for a sport bar food. Its ok for a lunch with kids maybe, otherwise try dinner somewhere else. Kid-friendliness: Has small typical kids menu
Chicken wings boneless, pretzels are yummy and great options for appetizers. St. Louis ribs are something delicious and filling, I like this restaurant for hanging out, drinks or watching a game. The staff are really friendly.
Dined here before Covid and we loved the wings so we decided to go on a Saturday night. Arrived about 630pm and was told there would be a 40 min wait. We decided to stay but they have no where to wait except in the doorway. After about 20 minutes our table was ready. They must have staffing issues since there were many empty tables . They have a nice beer and cocktail list We ordered the fried cheese curds..buffalo fried shrimp and a wing combo. They are advertised as one of the top wing spots in the US. The cheese curds came with ranch sauce but were small and some had no cheese at all. The Buffalo Shrimp looked like the same frozen ones you buy in a grocery store. They just poured buffalo sauce over them which made them soggy and mushy. They also came with ranch sauce. You pay extra 3.00 for a wing combo which gives you 2 sauces. Wings were small and in my opinion over cooked. We tried The Firecracker sauce which was Sweet Thai Chili and Sriracha. Nothing to brag about. Their January special was Thai Peanut Sauce with Raspberry Chipotle Jelly. Surprised that the jelly came in a separate plastic cup for dipping. Again nothing to brag about. For the price,I feel there are better wing places in Chicago and the reason for only 3 stars.
Excellent bar food. The firecracker wings are a must have. April was our server and she was awesome as well. Super cool vibe all around. Would eat here again.Recommended dishesFirecracker
1000% hands down amazing. Service and food was phenomenal We has the Jake's meal with the Pancho and Nashville hot sauceorder crispy with fried pickles and a 312 Shandy. I can't wait to come back. Don't order delivery if you want the fresh experience. Delivery was my first time order but arrived soggy. Dine in is a game changer! Highly recommended
Fantastically personable and professional staff. Clean space. Music that’s more background and not deafening. The sweet potato fries were light, tender, and oh so tasty. The bbq sauce my request for the fries and the thousand island both seemed house made. Then there’s the Ruben. The wildly delicious, fresh, whole ingredient Ruben was mind blowing for me. From the perfectly sturdy yet fluffy rye, to the slaw with a simple crunch, the sandwich was balanced and completely satisfied with meat. Oh, the piled high, delicate, thin sliced pastrami that was to die for! The seasoning, the moisture, and tender untrimmed bits of natural, melt in your mouth marbling carrying the meat into perfection. Also enjoyed the St. Patty day green beer special of an IPA, and a beautifully rich stout from CO.
