Asked about booking tours to Japan just before the COVID restrictions were fully lifted in late September. JTB Vancouver would not give a quote unless people pay $52.50 of non-refundable fee, which they said would be applied towards the travel cost. Paid the fee, and one day later Japan officially announced opening and VISA/travel agency is no longer required. 3 days later I still didn't get a reply for a quote. When I called, they finally provided a quote, but said 2 of the 3 hotels are not available for booking yet they are available on Expedia and directly on the hotel website, and the one that they were able to quote was in yen only and much more expensive than Expedia prices. They also said flight prices would be equivalent to booking directly from the airline, yet their quote is $700 more expensive. Then they said the fee can only be credited against hotels and not flights, which was never mentioned before. Finally, they were firm that the fee would be non-refundable and cannot even be used in the future as a credit. I paid the fee to not delay the trip planning yet they charged the fee without getting back in a timely way and their quotes/replies are useless. Would never consider booking anything through them. Way better off making your own plans. Not sure what they're good for if it weren't because of the COVID restrictions.

I went here to buy my JR pass for my Japan trip. The staff was really friendly and answered all my questions. They also gave me a few handouts with useful information on where to collect my pass once I arrive in Japan. The office is in the basement of the l Fairmont Hotel; just follow the signs once you're in the lobby.

The go-to place for JR Japan Passes in Metro Vancouver. Polite and very helpful staff and no lineup. I filled out the order form on their computer, paid by credit card, it was processed immediately and my Exchange Order Voucher issued on-the-spot. They will give you some basic instructions on where and how to exchange the voucher for the JR Japan Pass once you arrive in Japan. You can even do this at the arrival airport. Price was exactly the same as buying online japan-rail-pass.ca. The only downside is that their office is a little hard to find. If you enter from the Burrard Street entrance of the Fairmont Hotel formerly Hotel Vancouver then find the stairs to the basement on the left. The JTB office will be the first one on the right as you enter the long hallway.

Staff were helpful in preparing our exchange orders for the Japan Rail Passes. At JR Shinjuku Station, we exchanged the orders to obtain our JR Rail Passes and reserved our seats on the Shin Kansen Hikari to and from Osaka. JTB website also provided a discount for Ninja Pocket Wifi rental.

Helpful staff when I picked up my Japan Rail pass. They made sure that I understood how to use the pass and it's limitations.

In 2016 When we were planning to go to Japan . We used their services . We bought our passes a 7 day train pass JR Pass . We did the transaction by phone, they mailed it to us . They are legitimate.not to worry you will get your tickets .

Excellent service, location was a bit hard to find. I didn't know the Fairmont had stores underneath the building. It wasnt specify on the website. But once there, they were very helpful with what I needed.

Friendly and quick service. Received our Ghibli museum passes without hassle.

Silkway under JTB at this location provided rude customer service and staff are unknowledgeable about their products. They don't explain procedures and made me feel that my purchase was an inconvenience to them. I will go out of my way to avoid interacting with Silkway in future.

I have applied for a position which requires several years of experience. The recruiter contacted and invited me for an interview. One week later, they have made a decision to hire better candidate. The recruiter shouldn't invite me for interview if I am not qualified candidate. They are wasting everyone time. They are only here to kill time when they already have favorite candidate. This company is not an equal employer opportunity and I am glad I don't have to work there.
