My husband and I go to Island Athletic Club when we stay on Whidbey Island for vacation. Each time we've been here, we've been very impressed with the service and facility. The staff are warm and welcoming. The facility is well-maintained and has all the equipment you would expect a full-sized gym to have. I love the fact that they have the large rubber plates that enabled me to deadlift without making too much noise. They have one free weight squat rack and one smith machine. They also have a free motion machine, which gave me a lot of options as far as weights and range of motion. My husband said the pool and sauna were great, although I didn't use them myself. We both used the cardio equipment, which consisted of rowing machines, stationary bikes, elliptical, and a stair climber. Some other perks were ample parking, few people, quiet atmosphere for better focus, and easy to spot from the main road. Overall, I would highly recommend this gym and will definitely be back next time we go on vacation on Whidbey Island.

Large facility with great selection of bikes, treds, rowing, Nautilus, weights and resistance machines. And if that isn't enough take a plunge in the pool or join a fitness class. Great instructors, big screen TVs and  reasonable memberships.

This club has a lot to offer as health clubs go...machines, classes, pool, trainers, hot tub...  It even has an independent Physical Therapy (South Whidbey Physical Therapy, Andy Goetz, P.T.) clinic on premises. Massages are available at Island Athletic as well as in the P.T. clinic!

Great gym, workout area, free weights, pool, raquetball court, etc. Lots of "classes" too.
