Tried food for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised- we got cholle bhature, goat biryani, chicken korma, naan and rice for $52 and everything was fresh and cooked well. I felt mutton biryani was over spicy but it could just be my taste buds. Everything else was really good. They also sell mithai- we will try some next time.
The food was absolutely delicious. It was hot, flavourful and the staff was really nice! We were greeted by the owner and he made us feel so welcome!! The fish pakora chefs kiss…. So good! The butter chicken is really good too. I heard about the Naan bread…. And it didn’t disappoint. We will be back!Food: 5/5
First time ordering from here and overall it was pretty good. We tried the butter chicken, prawn Goan curry, Chana masala, and lamb vindaloo. We ordered everything on hot level and for us that was the perfect amount of spiciness. The Chana masala was a stand out and was very good. The lamb vindaloo, though good was a bit too salty for us so definitely not as good as the other dishes. We changed all the naan bread to garlic naan and I'd say it was worth it. They actually had garlic on it unlike a lot of other Indian restaurants where you can barely taste it. Prices were fair for the portions.
Ordered 3 things because of good review. Tried this restaurant for the first time. One of the snack was overcooked and tasteless and other one was stale and not properly cooked. They should be tagged as weekend spoilers.Food: 1/5
Ordered the lamb vindaloo for my mom and she said it was the best Indian food she's had so far in Edmonton. The sauce was very high quality, not just merely spicy. The inside of the restaurant is nothing special, hence the three stars, but you don't come here for the decor. Parking: Parking is easy too.
Ordered on the phone and good was ready on time. Samosas were crispy, fish pakora was delicious. Naan and curries were fresh and spiced well. Bought some sweets to takeaway and they gave us extra at no charge. Good customer service. It's always been a good experience when ordering from Indian Chef. This is our go to Indian place in the South Edmonton.
My most favourite from this restaurant are biryani, butter chicken, beef curry and pulao. The large portion that is consistently delicious is an added bonus! They can get really busy, so you must order in advance to avoid waiting. Overall, I’m always satisfied and happy! Thank you so much, Indian Chef Team! Food: 5/5
I visit here every month or two, and it never disappoints. Today, I ordered their Veg thali. It was fantastic. It comes with 3 dishes, rice, pickles, a dessert, and 1 naan. Chef Mohit did a great job. Please add this to the Skip The Dishes menu so people can order it from Skip. The picture doesn't do it justice, but trust me, it is delicious
I am a local here and I have ordered from here a couple times so far. Their curries are authentic and absolutely enjoyable. Portion size is good, also includes a serving of naan. Their stir fried noodles and fried rice however is quite disappointing, maybe it's not their specialty, hopefully they can improve there. But definitely the curries do not disappoint.
Momos tasted as bad as they looked. Soo disappointed. These momos were raw, they were barely fried, there was no flavor in the filling what so ever. I ordered 2 plates they shoved it all into 1 package so that they could save out the sauce that comes with it. Beyond disgusting had to throw the entire order out complete waste of $25. Please never order fried momos from this place.
