Indian Mexican Cuisine Fusion. Very interesting concept. The food was very tasty. We had the Taco Nan's with lamb and chicken tikka. Also we tried their Chai The.Food: 5/5
First time visiting and my wife and I had a great time. The food was great. We had the lamb curry and chicken tikka Roti. We ate in the restaurant and it was nice. The ambiance was nice and the restaurant was clean and well lit. Our experience was good and we will probably return. The staff was friendly and helpful. After our meal we were given a free sample of the churro dessert. We were impressed with that.
I love Indian tacos! Google randomly recommended I try this place out. I told my coworkers we should go here & they were initially hesitant to try out a fusion restaurant. Now it's our go-to when we work the night shift. My favourite is the butter chicken roti tacos I get with their street sampler on the side to share at work. This place is open late which is a big plus if you work nights. Normally restaurant options are limited in Edmonton after dark. While we normally order for takeout, the restaurant is big & open using bright colours, as well there's even instructions on the wall how to eat certain food. The staff are helpful, treats us well, and our food always arrives promptly. Taco Delhi is the restaurant to try if you were ever on the fence about Indian food, tacos, or Indian tacos. Did I mention...? I love Indian tacos!
Had the Carne Asada burrito and the thumbs up coke. Burrito was pretty good. Wish there was more beef inside and also wished the rice and beef was seasoned more. Delhi sauce tastes sort of like a tangy creme freche. I liked the Mexican hot sauce quite a bit! Thumbs up is a cola that does taste pretty distinct.
We stopped in at Taco Delhi on the recommendation of a South Asian foodie friend, and we are very happy that we did. As the name suggests, this casual spot specialises in South Asian/Mexican fusion eats. This is a concept that we’ve not seen before, but once you experience the food you realize it’s a hyper-natural fit. It’s a wonder that no one has thought of this before leastwise no one we’ve ever encountered. We had: Tostada Chicken Tikka 3 tostadas; Lamb Curry Roti Taco; and, Paneer Pepper Masala Poutine. All three choices were delicious, with particular kudos to the Lamb Curry Roti Tacos. The lamb was tender and perfectly spiced, and the roti were outstanding. We were also treated to a complimentary dessert sampler: churros with a side of chocolate sauce and gulab jamun. Both were very good and we would order them if we ever find ourselves with room for dessert after their generous serving sizes! Service is fast and friendly, the prices are more than fair, and the food quality is excellent. With two Jarritos our total bill came to $47, tax and gratuity included. Outstanding value for money. Highly recommended!
Very nice place . Was recommended by a friend so went there for a quick lunch today . They had buy one get one free on tacos. Me and my friend enjoyed the food , the flavour was good. The OWNER walked up to us and made sure the food was good and asked us if we prefer it spicier so he could get it done … WOW impressive . The guy knows how to run the business and we surely will frequent the place .
Been here twice now. I've had the chicken tikka masala naan taco, the lamb curry naan taco, the gol gappe and churro. The naans are so thin and soft. The chicken tikka masala and lamb curry had so much flavour and were cooked perfectly. The gol gappe were perfect and crispy, the mint and tamarind waters were perfect and the potatoes were seasoned really well. The churros are a dream with the warm chocolote sauce! Would 10 out of 10 recommend!
Over the past 4 months, I have been to this "" fine establishment at least 10 times. This is a fine art ‍ merger of two of my favourite cuisines types. While I'm sure every item on the menu is good, I've consistently found myself coming back for the tostadas, naan tacos all of them flavours, but carne asada is , and churros. The fact that they are also open later than virtually every other joint in the local vicinity is also . Service is quick and rapid. Don't believe the nay-sayers and nit-pickers. This place is honestly really good value and it will stay on my permanent roster of go-to places for quick, delicious and affordable eats.
To start with, the reviews on the website intrigued me to try there food. But its totally a WASTE of your hard earned money !! How can you even expect someone to pay $6.99 for 6 fritters ? Apart from that we requested the food to be spicy but it just had salt and no flavours or texture. This means poor customer service. You dont even listen what the end user has requested !! When you are charging someone, atleast have that much of courtesy to give value to the money that is being paid.. And FYI the food and flavour are not even slightly near to what it is in Delhi !!
If you're looking for some delicious fusion Indian food, Taco Delhi is the place to go! We had the Butter Chicken Taco, Chicken Tikka Tacos and paneer poutine. it was so good! Loved the flavors of the food, especially green chutney on poutine. I asked our cashier to make one taco spicy and it was a bonus. The service was also fast and friendly. They had some great choices for drinks too. This is going to be our next favorite place now!
