I really love this IKEA, as it reminds me of my very first days in Canada. When I arrived, I didn’t even have a bed to set up my apartment, and IKEA helped me a lot. Its central location is very convenient. Of course, compared to other IKEAs it is much smaller, but that’s only a minor downside since I would most likely choose delivery anyway.nnThe store itself is cozy, nice, and clean. The only negative experience I had was when one employee asked me to wait while he checked the availability of my order, but he never came back — later we saw him just chatting with a colleague. Also, I wish the café had a bit more variety; for example, we wanted to order salmon, but unfortunately it wasn’t available.nnWould I return? Definitely. I really enjoy the wide selection and the discounts they offer.nnPros: cleanliness, self-checkout, clean restrooms, discounts.nCons: not all menu items are available, and one consultant was a bit careless no issues with the rest of the staff.
IKEA Downtown Toronto has some really good and unique items, especially cutlery and kitchen essentials that are affordable and stylish. The furniture, while nice, can feel a little on the pricier side. One thing I noticed is that some of the bed designs available at IKEA in Dubai aren’t here in Canada — it would be great if they could bring those in too. Overall, it’s a cool store with lots of unique finds!
The worst ever IKEA location and servicesnThe store is marketed as one of the express shopping experience, ended up being a congested and messy place. Bought 2 cushion covers 3 days ago then went in for a return, the queue was long, one counter sign says “express return”, the other one says “return exchange”, then the 3rd and last counter was for “collect points”nOverall waited 30 minutes, staring at the “collect point” staff not doing anything instead of helping the return counter and speeds up the service, just rather standing still behind the counter.nAwful awful place.
IKEA Downtown Toronto is well-organized and easy to navigate, with helpful staff and a smooth checkout. The cafe is a nice bonus. It can get crowded during peak hours, but overall, it's a great spot for home furnishings.
The downtown IKEA is a fantastic addition to the city—a well-organized, two-floor space that offers a wide range of home essentials at great value. It’s especially impressive how much variety they’ve managed to fit into this urban location. From furniture and décor to kitchenware and storage solutions, it’s a one-stop shop for all your home needs. The pan collection in particular stands out, offering high quality at reasonable prices, making it a smart choice for anyone setting up a new kitchen or upgrading their cookware.nIKEA is known globally for its stylish yet affordable Scandinavian design, and this location maintains that reputation well. The layout is intuitive, the displays are inspiring, and there are plenty of practical ideas for small-space living—perfect for downtown lifestyles.nAnother great feature is the self-serve and pick-up system, which makes shopping efficient, even when it’s busy. The customer service is generally friendly and helpful, adding to the positive experience.nWhether you’re looking for functional basics or clever, modern design pieces, IKEA downtown is well worth a visit. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area—you’ll likely find something you didn’t even know you needed.
