Awesome local store with knowledgeable staff. Carries both popular and art-focused comics and books, as well as a good selection of collectible games. Models, figures and paints round out the store along with accessories. If you are into Magic the Gathering, this is definitely the place to be, with FNM each week!
While visiting Pettawawa I parked our motorhome in their parking lot. The proprietor was a lovely man who very graciously invited us to remain in front of the store even though it had just opened. We will likely never meet again but this chap is a real prince among men.

Enjoyed coming here and getting some awesome goodies. Staff know there stuff very well and can make great recommendations. If you want to try something new ask about there independent, comic selection.

When my love for comics started to blossom into an obsession, I was immediately confronted with the fact that I reside in Petawawa. While it's a lovely town indeed, many objects I desire can only be found in "the city". So you can imagine my fear of never being able to find half decent comics here! Or maybe you can't, in which case, why are you even reading this? Well my friends I'm happy to report that this store is the BEST for all things comic book related. The staff is very knowledgeable on various different collections. Knowledgeable, however never overbearing. Great, friendly staff, with amazing products to sell is what you'll find at Hydra.
Very knowledgeable staff... Very easy going and approachable... Will order pretty much anything for customers if they don't have the item in stock. Greatly recommended for all comic book addicts
Hydra is the definition of a home away from home. Staff is friendly and easy to engage with. They answered all my questions, and let me hang out while I worked. Can't recommend this store enough.
I was there at 2pm on a Sunday but the store was locked... please update your hours
Great staff. They know their comics. The space is small. If you are into magic the gathering , either modern or standard they have FNM.
