Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site - Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare

August long weekend Monday... I was very impressed by the ER staff! It was a very busy night, 2 trauma's, and 1 doctor on. Yes it was a long wait but they called in extra staff. Staff was very professional and once the trauma's were cleared, they worked fast to handle the patients! And 1week after I received a personal phone call from my Doctor, just checking on my status... Very impressed! Thank you ER staff!

Had to get a fishing hook removed from my finger, took about 3 hours start to finish, not horrible compared to other visits to hospitals in bigger cities. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Don't know what all the negitive comments are about, my overall experience was good.

This hospital is disgusting! I could only rate it "1" star because there was no option for "zero" stars. I presented at Emergency (there was no other choice) with a quickly worsening case of total body itchiness from insect bites and resultant itchy sores and with my eyes swelling shut. There was only 1 doctor on staff & over 15 emergency patients waiting. The overworked single doctor appears to have just finished surgery (over an hour?). Surprisingly, there seemed to be lots of 'support' staff but with only 1 doctor to support. Most staff were unresponsive to any questions about timing (especially the male 'coordinator' who was less than helpless). We were all simply sitting around waiting & waiting as helpless victims of a dysfunctional 'system'. How can the 'incompetents' charged with the operation of this hospital be so stupid as to only schedule a single doctor to staff their 'Emergency' facility? Thank goodness there were no EMS emergencies during my extensive wait! This has been indeed a very sad experience! At an average rating of '1.5', this 'hospital is grossly over-rated

My dad was injured, i called an ambulance had a very quick response. We were told it may be a long wait but had him in with a doctor in a half hour then out for a CT scan in an hour. Great service and wonderfully nice staff!

This hospital is a poster child for underfunded and outdated health care, relying on outdated systems and crushed by a top heavy distribution of funds. Even with a large amount of funding coming from donations, this hospital is heavily underfunded. You have a better chance of survival if you drive to North Bay and visit their ER.
