Wow! From the moment we walked in, the blend of old-world charm and modern convenience was striking. The hotel offers a presentation that beautifully marries history with contemporary flair. Each of our 5-star rooms provided the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The staff was incredibly accommodating, attending to every need of our biking group with grace and efficiency.nnWe thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous bar and restaurant—both added immensely to our experience. The location couldn't be better; we walked everywhere, soaking in the sights without any need for transportation. Although parking was a bit challenging, which is expected in most downtown areas, it didn't detract from our stay.nnAdmittedly, the price was on the high end, but the exceptional treatment and service made it entirely worthwhile. We also took full advantage of the nearly full-service spa, and what a treat that spa day was!nnI highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a touch of luxury paired with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It's a perfect base for any visit.
Beautiful hotel! Fit 5 people in the suite and we all slept great! It was a hot 37°C day in Nelson and the hotel A/C kept up great. The suite felt luxurious and the room division provided privacy. The bathroom was clean and updated but felt like old school charm.nHighly recommend! You won’t be disappointed!nWe enjoyed Nelson so much and part of it was this beautiful hotel.
Visited the charming town of Nelson for the first time and was interested in the history as well as the central location of the Hume. The rooms are well laid out, newly renovated and incredibly spacious. They are alsonPet friendly, so our family pet was able to come with us. The hotel is near many amazing restaurants and the staff is very attentive. The Library lounge has live Jazz music that was incredibly high quality. Overall a gem to stay at while in charming Nelson!
We just had breakfast at the restaurant. The service was very good and the waiter was very attentive. I got the pacific Benny. The potatoes were pretty good, the eggs Benedict had a twist that included some avocado and crab that was supposed to be butter poached. I felt the crab lacked flavor like no crab taste at all. The eggs Benedict was tasty but only after I salted it, twice. I would recommend that they serve a better quality crab and properly season the food. I would eat there again if they corrected these things
The Hume's service is incredible! As a regular at their restaurants, I'm constantly impressed by the incredible staff. James at Mike's Place provides Michelin-star level service, always remembering my order and making every visit perfect. Dawn at The Library is just as exceptional, ensuring a truly special experience for everyone, whether you're a regular or a new face. The team at the Liquor Store Ross, Heidi, Ryan - you all rock! is fantastic as well. They truly elevate the entire Hume experience. Just to name a few! Thanks!
