Hudson's Bay

We had our wedding registry at this store last year and it was very difficult to get in touch with the staff at this store. I was always going back and forth on voicemail with them. Recently, I have gotten a few times and the staff in the kitchen department always seem preoccupied and too busy to answer questions. The women's department is also a mess. The changing rooms have a strange smell and the staff just stands around the counter. I made eye contact and they did not even give a smile or ask if they could help. I just went ahead and quickly tried on my dresses and left without getting any. Furthermore, I ordered 2 dresses from Hudson's bay online last Friday for an upcoming holiday party. I wanted to try them both on since I couldn't find them in store. Saturday night I got an email from the company saying my order could not be fulfilled. There was no information on why. Out of curiosity, I called to ask what the problem was, and the customer service agent told me that one was out of stock and the other just had to have the payment information verified. The email made no note of this and they never tried to contact me. I had used a gift card for this purchase, and I couldn't use it again because they had to send me a new one in the mail. So I would have to wait till that arrived to be able to make the order with the gift card One would think in the age of technology that we live in, they would have a way to instantly give you back the money on the card. Overall, I am very disappointed with Hudson's bay as a company and with their stores in the gta. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on, as I am done giving them chances to be better.

Tried for 30 minutes today to get to speak with the mattress department. It''s not actually listed as part of any department. Called about 8 extensions including management. Not one person answered despite repeated attempts. Very frustrating but it is definitely not the first time I have experienced this process with The Bay. Too bad as it just encourages me to spend my money elsewhere when I cannot get service.

This optical shop is a hidden gem in Sherway Gardens. You need to enter Hudson Bay department store and at the end near the elevators, you will find this optical shop. Look for Tanya or Irina and they will take care of your optical needs. The best genuine service from any optical shop I know of in Toronto. Highly recommended.

Only Bay that opens till 9:30 pm on weekdays! An awesome plus!!

One of the BEST The Bay locations. Service has been great and always welcoming regardless if weekend or weekday. Very good selection of items.
