During the Fall season (early November) it is a quiet hotel and pleasant enough. Though equally important was a good night sleep. The mattresses do need to be replaced. The beds are way too soft (they are basically thick 4/5 inch foam on top of box springs. No support. not good for those in need of lower back support. Television reception is very spotty; at times no reception for long periods. So bring a book and enjoy the quiet instead.

My favorite place to stay in La Conner. Cute historic building. Nice private interior courtyard. No ac but cools off once the sun goes down. Staff is friendly and helpful. Have to park on street which is sometimes crowded. Easy stroll thru downtown.

A charming hotel in the center of downtown La Conner, close to shops, galleries, and restaurants, the MONA, and a couple of sites of historic significance. Completely refurbished from a 24 room SRO (only one bathroom for all 24 rooms) to a 12 guest room hotel, each with private bath, while keeping its 1907 ambience completely intact. It is clean and quite (I recommend a room overlooking their private courtyard), the beds are comfortable though smaller than what you'd find in a standard hotel, because the rooms themselves are in scale to the era of the turn of the last century. This ambience and scale also means that there's no elevator to get to the second floor of the building, and the entire hotel is located on the second floor of the building. So be prepared to walk up a flight of stairs with you're bags, or be advised to probably seek other accommodation. I highly recommend this hotel and will gladly stay again when returning to this part of the world.

Very cute quaint little hotel right on the main drag. Windows were getting noisily buffeted by the wind until we cracked them open, but overall a nice little experience. Much more fun than a plain chain hotel.

Very comfortable bed. Rooms are a little small, but very nice. Large bathroom. Tall ceiling. Our room looked out onto First St, we could see Rainbow Bridge from our window. Downside is you get the street noise. Courtyard view might be quieter. I would stay here again.
