I travel for work and spent many nights on the road. The handful of times that I'm in Sandusky I always try to stay here. It beats any chain, any day. They don't serve breakfast but there is a great little place just a 2 min walk around the corner. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is about the lack of a shower door. It's a very large shower stall with a glass wall that only goes half way across, no door or curtain. It's a very foreign concept to me. It just takes a long time for the shower area to warm up because the steam escapes. On the plus side, by the end, the whole bathroom is steamed and warm.

Hotel is very nice. I will say it needs some improvements on noise suppression. You can hear everything and anything from the rooms above you and around you. Staff was super friendly and rooms were very nicely decorated. Beds were cozy and room temp stayed where you put the thermostat. All in all it was a nice hotel.

Beautiful hotel, with two trendy bars and a relaxing rooftop patio. My fiance and I stayed here for two nights during our road trip across the country. The only downside is the sound in the building carries incredibly well and we had the bad luck of being directly below an insomniac who was marching around all night. The front desk did tell me the next morning that they would have asked them to quiet down but it didn't occur to me to call. I wouldn't recommend this hotel is you're a light sleeper but otherwise a great place to stay.

My husband and I just spent the weekend in Sandusky for our anniversary and booked one night at this hotel. Although, the hotel has been updated and the rooms are nice you can hear everything in your room. The walls and ceilings are not well insulated. The rooftop bar is so noisy you have to wait until it closes to go to sleep. It was almost unbearable to be right underneath the bar. When we told the attendant at the front desk that it was extremely noisy, she just apologized. They do offer ear plugs in the rooms. That should have been our sign that we could be in for a loud night. Don't book either room under the rooftop bar if you want some peace. We were not told in advance that the bar was above our room and that it would be extremely noisy. Had they given us the courtesy and warned us, we would have asked for a different room. Unfortunately, we could not recommend this hotel,

Read the reviews carefully if you plan to stay here. My partner didn't. The 4 & 5 stars are from people rating the bar and restaurant. The complaints about how noisy it is are right on. The premier rooms are the worst as they are just under the 4th floor bar or the 1st floor bar/restaurant. Would have giving it 2 stars but for what charge, it only gets one.
