We stayed three nights here to attend Cedar Point Halloweekends and it met our needs just fine. The room was spacious, the pillows and bed were very comfortable & clean. Bathroom was a little small but met our needs just fine. For the price we paid you could not beat it being so close to everything. We avoided traffic at the end of the nights as well due to being so close to Cedar Point. Staff was very nice and helpful with anything we needed. Thanks Budget Host!!

Only gave a one star because 0 stars was not an option. DO NOT STAY HERE! My check in date was 7/8/2017 at 9:30P and check out date was 7/9/2017 for a total of $123.91. Unfortunately, I do not see the employees name listed on my receipt or I would be happy to provide it here for customers to be able to identify the unprofessional individuals who work here, however the "Clerk #" is 0021. I booked a reservation online (which the website stated that I could change the payment method at check in). I arrive at the Budget Inn only to be greeted by a rude, incompetent employee who did not know how to change the payment method and proceeded to argue with me on the issue. I, then, asked to speak to a manager only to be YELLED AND CUSSED AT BY THE EMPLOYEE!!!! Next, the employee FINALLY got the manager to come in and he himself heard the employee ONCE AGAIN YELL AT ME AND MY FAMILY and did absolutely nothing to correct the employee or help the situation. At this point I demanded a refund, as I did not feel safe nor comfortable staying here with employees who YELL AND CUSS AT ME and a manager who allows such behavior. The manager REFUSED to refund me my money (although the website said refunds were an option). Of course, not wanting to be out of over $123 and still have no place to stay for the night, I took the room. I advise this establishment be SHUT DOWN AND FIRE THE EMPLOYEES! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

My stay here was alright. They just need to get another waffle maker and more fresh options for their breakfast. I will stay here again, to see if they fix these couple of things. Depending on that I will become a loyal customer or pay the few dollars extra to visit another hotel or motel while vacationing in their area.

This room wasn’t terrible but if you want anything any sort of fancy do not stay here. The beds are kind of small but comfortable. Spider in the bath tub but...it is a place heavily populated by spiders anyways (Sandusky). WiFi didn’t seem to be running. The smell takes some time to get used to. If it’s just a place to sleep and your not terribly picky it’s fine. Bring your own shampoo (hotel shampoos are usually too small anyways)! Water in shower, not warm, if you like hot showers don’t book here.

Friendly and very helpful staff. The rooms are a little dated but for the price you pay and the great location... a good deal!
