Hong Kong Gardens Tavern and Restaurant

Today I ordered from these guys for the 1st time and although the delivery was very quick I'm not sure if whoever was packing at knew how to read. I had ordered general Tao's chicken It doesn't taste like that I have ordered Orange chicken what I got was something in white sauce definitely not Orange chicken I ordered spicy peanut chicken no peanuts and no spice and last but not least chicken fried rice the only dish they got correct. Although the price was good getting 3 out of 4 incorrect it's kind of a problem for me. Will not be ordering again. Look what I found! They added Orange chunks with the peel on under the chicken!!! WTH??? No wonder it tasted bitter!!! I had give 2 stars now with the new discovery down to 1 !!! Boy did they mess up my first-time and last ever order from them!!! They just cut a full Orange absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable!!! That's not ORANGE CHICKEN!!! AM SO MAD NOW!!!

This place makes the best food. Especially my favourite, crispy ginger chicken. I could eat this everyday. The service is great and the place is very clean inside. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing food and service!! Everything we ordered was delicious! Our favorite was the general Tao chicken, which had the perfect red sauce with the right amount of heat. The crispy ginger beef, pad Thai and rice were also really good.

Hong Kong Gardens is a crowd pleaser for everyone. It's exactly what you think of when feeling like Chinese food. It's a great restaurant for a large group of people. Portions sizes are meant to be shared. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend the lemon chicken, spicy peanut chicken, chicken balls, pork fried rice, szechuan noodles, and almond vegetable dish. Everything is delicious and the service is quick. The music played in the dining room is surprisingly great.

The "go to" Chinese food place in the Royal York/Bloor area. Great for quick and reliable Take-Out and also offer Dine-in as well. The Dine-in Décor is a bit dated, but the food is pretty amazing. They have been a local restaurant for several decades in The Kingsway / Bloor West neighborhood. Enjoy :-

grew up in the neighborhood. The best soo guy in Ontario and we have lived all over the GTA, Orillia, Collingwood, KW, Dundas and Thunder Bay. Amazing Cantonese Chow Mein as well. Everywhere we go it has been our benchmark for Chinese food and all have been found flavor wanting. I stand tall for you Hong Kong Gardens and salute you! Oh Captain My Captain!

We ordered here on Saturday to celebrate Lunar New Year - only for the family to all wake up the next day with food poisoning. Hong Kong Gardens... you took a day away from me that I'll never get back.

Excellent food. Great portions for the price. Lovely ambiance, feels very much like Hong Kong. Above all, amazing service!

Been going here since I was young with my dad, always fresh food, very polite server, food hasn’t changed one bit!! Always same taste for the better also their chicken wings are to die for!! Best experience to dine in!
