OMG we have been very happy with nearly everything we’ve had from Homesteaders. Then we had a steak and mushroom pie… it was soooo delicious and absolutely perfect. I recommend this to anyone who likes tender meat, tasty gravy, and crispy pastry. What a find. We will be back to try the other pies too!

We buy our raw dog food from here and usually purchase 3-4 bags at a time, twice a month, as we have 4 giant breed dogs and come from out of town. This morning I had a most unpleasant customer service experience where when I requested 4 bags and assured them this is our regular order it was insinuated that I was lying and that "they never sell 4 bags of dog food at a time". I was basically accused of panic buying by one employee. I was pretty shaken to be spoken to so rudely. Because of this extremely negative interaction we will now be looking to purchase our dog food elsewhere.

Only had good experiences buying nice cuts of meat from here. Our kids really love the farmer's sausage in their school lunches.

Excellent staff, exceptional products

Friendly staff, fast service, reasonable prices for fresh locally sourced meat. Store is kept very clean which I feel is worth noting for a place that handles raw meat. Id recommend to support local and pick up cuts/ cured product you can't other find at markets.

Best beef jerky in Prince George! I love coming to this place just for the beef jerky. It’s so amazing. They have different flavours and types. I always buy the two types because they’re both so good!
