The hotel was very clean and the front desk experience was exceptional from check-in onward. The room appeared to be newly updated and felt fresh and well maintained. The pillows were surprisingly great and made for a comfortable sleep. The bed was a little firm for my taste, but that’s fairly typical for a Holiday Inn.nnI also liked the bar amenities and appreciated that the hotel offers room service, which was convenient. There’s a pool and hot tub on site as well. Unfortunately the hot tub was closed during my stay, but the area looked very nice and well kept.nnMy only real criticism would be the breakfast buffet. It felt a bit overpriced for the selection offered. If I stayed again, I would probably order breakfast through room service instead.nnOverall, a clean, comfortable, and well-run hotel with very friendly staff.
So I gave it a 3 stars for the fact there is no info on their parking. They do have a parkade but If u have a big work truck or a lifted truck or basically anything over 6’6 u don’t fit in the parkade. So u have to pay for parking. And hope ur vehicle doesn’t get broken into. That should really be disclosed. If I knew this I’d have booked elsewhere. It’s great that I have to spend extra money to pay for parking. That’s kinda of a kick in the after driving for hours. Other than that staff is very nice and friendly and the rooms are nice. Clean at least.
To start with the pros, rooms are big and clean, front desk workers are nice, restaurant has great hours and good food. Location is great and is very close to mall for shopping, has a pool and fitness centre. Onto the cons, parking is an extra $20 per day, beds atleast the ones I had got have a somewhat loud squeak, so if you are a light sleeper it may be hard to sleep. I had that issue and Tyler at the front desk was able to refund me half of my 2nd night as I checked out late due of not being able to sleep and my full parking fee so that’s a plus. Other than that single issue it’s a great hotel, and would recommend staying there.
Great stay at the Holiday Inn Downtown Saskatoon! The rooms are very nice and clean, and the overall ambience of the hotel is pleasant. The staff were very cooperative, especially the reception team. I initially booked for one night and then extended for a second night, and even though the hotel was full, they helped me keep the same room — really appreciated that.nnCar parking facilities are also a nice bonus.nThe only downside for me was that breakfast is not included and has to be paid for separately. Also, the restaurant staff during breakfast didn’t feel as welcoming or cooperative as the hotel staff.nnOverall, a very good stay and I would definitely recommend it.
My review tonight is specifically about The Hub. Mandi bartender and server extraordinaire. I have many options for hotel accommodations in Saskatoon, however, the customer service and genuine human interest shown by Mandi will keep me coming back. Another delightful meal and wine, but an incredible evening of conversation made my day. Sadly, her coworker called in sick so she was left to manage the restaurant, the bar, and the room service. Never complaining and never missing a beat. Stop by and see Mandi!
