I would not stay at this hotel again. Unfortunately, the level of customer service fell well below expectations.nnAt check-in, there was no communication regarding the pool and hot tub closures or the ongoing construction during our stay. Additionally, the front desk did not provide any basic information about breakfast, amenities, or available dining options, which set a disappointing tone from the start.nnMore concerning was the lack of hot water for the entire weekend. We notified the front desk twice, yet a service technician was not sent until the day before our departure. This resulted in a 35-minute delay while he inspected the issue, causing us to be late for a scheduled Easter dinner—only for the problem to remain unresolved.nnUpon checkout, I raised these concerns with the on-duty manager, who even acknowledged there is an ongoing issue with the boiler! However, I was told that because we chose not to move rooms why should I be inconvenienced to probably only find another room yet with no hot water?, this represented the best level of service they could provide. I STRONGLY disagree. When paying a premium nightly rate, access to hot water is a basic and reasonable expectation.nnWhile the rooms themselves were acceptable, the lack of proactive communication, failure to resolve a fundamental issue, and unwillingness to take accountability significantly impacted our experience. Based on this, I would not return.
This Hilton charges you entire cost prior to staying, never have I experienced this at a “4 star hotel”.nnHotel is undergoing construction. At no point were we informed while booking that there would be jackhammering from 9 am to 6 pm.nnWith young children napping this is impossible.nnWe called front desk. No help, except telling us this would continue and acted as if we should have known.nnActual rooms are pretty rough. Mismatched lamps, missing lampshades, low quality construction. No ceiling lighting in main areas.nnBoth bathrooms exhaust fans don’t work. Our one bedroom suite had no cutlery or kitchenware.nnIs this the standard is Saskatoon?nnBrutal.
Room was clean but that’s about where the good ends. The breakfast was lacklustre but more importantly the hotel charged us a destination marketing program “tax”, not only was this not disclosed at booking , check in, or checkout but it’s not actually a tax. They try to sneak it right under the gst and pst hoping people don’t notice, it is a completely voluntary fee charged by the hotel that they have to remove if you ask and have to DISCLOSE on booking which they didn’t do. That’s not the end however, when I called the front desk to dispute the fee they tried telling me it is the same as gst and pst and is a mandatory fee that is charged on hotel stays in Saskatchewan. I called the front desk lady out on it telling her that it is in no way mandatory and after she got “managers approval” it was removed. The manager also tried telling me it’s a provincial fee and that hotels in Saskatchewan are subject to 15% tax despite this fee being initiated by the hotels not by the government which anyone that googles it can see.
Hilton GARBAGE Inn!!!nUpon arrival a very disgusting putrid smell that lingered other guests had issues with garbage see pics floors were sticky and dirty. Needed extra pillows and towels requested 3 times came a day later. Drapes /blinds were not functional. Little or no water pressure. Blow dryer did not work!nNo responses from Cindy or Fathima regarding our issues. Was advised 2 days prior to stay advised fitness and pool area closed this seems like an ongoing issue with reviews no Continental breakfast website states differently, even though it was set up as one! When asked to just buy a yogurt we were told no individual pricing but I can charge you $3-4!I went to front desk to inquire about $20 breakfast, the response we got “We don’t have free breakfast here if you want a continental breakfast go to the Hampton Inn”. Should have taken her advice. Upon check out charged$16 for daily parking in an unsecured lot! Never been charged for parking as a hotel guest anywhere else. The Hilton GARBAGE Inn was an experience we would never endure again. If you read the reviews they suggest you go to Hilton Guest services for their assistance! Good luck. They offer hotel points so you can come back!!! The Hilton hotels has really slid downhill!
Was on business, booked in a conference block. NonInformation given about hotel on check in, sign saying pool was closed. During the day there was construction above my room. Tried to come work in between some meeting and catch a nap before my supper meetings and it was impossible. Complained, they did not do or offer anything. Not directly the hotels fault but be careful of parking a vehicle, windows were smashed when I first checked in, and leaving my colleagues truck was broken into and they stole all his stuff.
