Not the worst hotel I've stayed in, but not one of the better Holiday Inn Express locations. The front desk and dining area staff were very professional and courteous any time of the day or night. The dining area, lobby, pool, and work out room were clean, neat and well lit, the hot tub was just right at the end of the day. Our room was nice at check in, aside from smell of cigarette smoke. On the first day we noticed that the sink drain was clogged enough to take several minutes to drain. That stayed the same up to the day we left and may still be clogged. The room was never cleaned until the day before we checked out. Until then the bed was never made and we had to ask for clean towels repeatedly at the front desk. I was told that they had a new cleaning crew at the time. No, that is an incompetent or unwilling crew and an incapable supervisor not doing their job. Overall not horrible but will try another hotel next time.
I only attended the hotel as a business professional hosting a job fair. The lobby was clean and organized. The staff greeted us politely and took care of any needs our group had. The meeting room was medium sized and able to host approximately 25 people. There were small appliances that made it possible for snack and drink items.
I rented the rose room from the holiday inn express in Kendallville IN. The bathroom was absolutely nasty. The toilet was growing black mold. Both sinks in the bathroom and kitchen area wouldn’t drain. When I made the front desk aware of the situation she came and looked at the room. She agreed that the bathroom was nasty and said it hadn’t been cleaned in a month. She said her cleaning crew must have missed it but Monday she would talk to them. She didn’t offer to clean the bathroom and left it nasty dirty for the baby shower we had there. All the guests saw it and I even took photos of how nasty it was I can’t get the photos to post for some reason. Not to mention the hot tub you see on your way to the rose room is a nasty yellow brown color. The hotel is not kept very clean at all. The staff at the front desk wasn’t very helpful. She didn’t address our concerns or attempt to make them better. She was just like yes that’s nasty so sorry. I was so embarrassed to have the baby shower there with my family and friends seeing the nastiness of that room. I can’t even imagine how nasty the rooms are. Don’t stay here yuck!!
All the folks at this hotel were great. We were treated with kindness and respect. Breakfast was great and rooms were clean. Couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay. The cookies in the evenings were the best. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location right off the road in town. Clean rooms and public areas. The staff was professional and worked hard. Good variety at the continental breakfast. Microwave and fridge in the room is convenient. Pool and hot tub are well maintained.
The staff was friendly and responsive when we reported a house keeping issue with our room. The bed was comfortable but the room could stand some updating. We only had the good cinnamon rolls for breakfast but they had a good selection of other foods
Brittany at the main desk was awesome!! Her customer service skills went way beyond my expectations. The guy working this morning didnt seem as friendly but he was ok. Our experience was very good! Our rooms was clean and neat! And the pool area was also very neat.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 months. I was there on a job assignment. The owner gave me a reasonable rate which included the fee for my cat. The hotel is well kept inside and out. The rooms are large with a comfortable bed, lounge chair and a desk and chair. The rooms also have a microwave and refrigerator. They have a wonderful hot breakfast which is open very early morning until 10am. They also have happy hour with snacks and a drink until 7 p.m. I stay at many hotels for long periods of time. This is the best hotel that I have ever stayed, with the above only being part of the reason I say this. You will never find a more caring and accommodating staff. They all went out of their way to make my stay a lovely experience. Within the first few days they all knew my name and went out of their way to greet me in the mornings, asking if I need anything, and making me feel extra special. By the end of my stay I felt that I had developed friendships with most of the staff. Ashley, Nick, Emmanuel, and Usha are exceptional employees who all go above and beyond the call of duty. They are also just wonderful people who I feel honored to now call my friends. The owner is very fortunate to have such a great group of people working for him. I doubt I will ever have this kind of experience at any other hotel. I was very sad to leave, knowing it was highly unlikely that I would ever have the pleasure of staying there again.
Absolute worst hotel experience of my life. My husband's work had us stay here for three months. Not once could I get a cleaning staff to clean our room. They actually yelled at me when I asked for towels or toilet paper. The fire alarm went off one night for 12 hours. Don't expect your room key to work, or the washer or dryer either. If you ask for a nrw key they will yell at you. They are over whelmingly unprofessional you would be better off sleeping in your car. I only gave them one star because you can't give zero.
I went down for a golf trip with 24 people. Everything was as smooth as possible. Check in was very easy and the staff was more the friendly. Anything we needed or wanted they took care of it. Ashish the owner was on top of everything and runs a flawless operation. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
