Hogtown Vegan

If you are looking for comfort food, but vegan, this is a great place to visit. They've got a simple menu with many of their ingredients used in different ways - taste is consistent and good. Food is quick to get out, service is good and the atmosphere is chill. During warmer seasons, they have an outdoor space available as well. Bathrooms are located downstairs, which is to be expected of downtown. Overall a great option to eat at!

What a gem of a place! Excellent vegan food, coming from an omnivore. I had the southern combo and really enjoyed it! The chicken had a great taste and texture, and the collards were garlicky af which suited me perfectly. The mac and cheese was perfection. My partner had the chicken and waffles and loved it If you're in for a dessert, try the birthday cake parfait - the whipped cream and vanilla spice cake are a game changer.

It's a great neighbourhood bar that you can come to relax, and feel right at home. The place could be freshen up, but has a cute vibe overall. It is one of the top vegan places in the city, and offers great variety of southern pub classics vegan way. Vegetarian options: Vegan place

Nice selection of vegan fare my meat eater parents survived just fine. Skip the cheese steak, Mac and Cheese was great sauce but pasta noodle was over powering. Collard greens could’ve been wilted down more and in a more flavourful broth. Quesadilla was the best of what we had.Recommended dishesMac 'N Cheese, Southern Combo

The food here was great! I had the fish and chips and it was marvelous. It was great to have a vegan version of something I truly love. The pork unpulled pork sandwich was really good too. I was very happy with the service. Jeremy, our waiter, was polite and very considerate. He would check on us in exactly the right amounts respecting our space and yet making us feel cared for. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to eat delicious vegan food that hits the spot and will be dining here again. Thanks Hogtown vegan!

I had been meaning to check out The Hogtown Vegan for quite some time and I finally did with some of my friends. Everything on their menu comes out fresh and hot! I decided to go with the Southern Delight along with a side of chilli cheese fries. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love chicken! The Hogtown does it even better! Their breaded and fried unChicken is better than real chicken and their mac ‘n cheese is absolutely creamy and delightful. It comes with a side of BBQ sauce which is an excellent touch to their unChicken! I highly recommend checking this place out!

You absolutely have to try the chicken fried steak. The mashed potatoes and gravy is the perfect compliment to the mock steak and it fry gives a southern fried food feel. Also had the Mac and cheese that was the perfect texture and taste. Really nice that there’s a crumble on top. Will order again!

Love this place! Amazing vegan food, would recommend to anyone. Had the unChicken & Waffles which are amazing along with a side of Mac N Cheez which was also great! Highly recommend the unChicken & Waffles - the waffles were really fluffy and tasty, the ‘chicken’ was amazing, really crispy on the outside. The syrup it comes with is slightly spicy and goes with everything really well, it also comes with whipped butter which I didn’t know what to expect but it was really nice! And the greens I was really impressed with - a really lovely addition to the rest of the meal. Very filling and reasonably priced. Great service, would recommend!

Meat-eater here: got the southern combo - was veeeery happy with the taste and texture. Everything from the fried unChicken to the collard greens, mac and cheese, and gravy was awesome. Been here many times now, and always been extremely pleased with the food and service. It's a great place for comfort food even if you'renot vegan. My go to is the Tortilla salad and their Mac n' cheese. Also, the staff are super friendly and you get your food quite rapidly.
