The "house" that was the original Gibson Inn was built by the Sears company in Bay City, Michigan in 1895 and moved to Pinconning where it sits now. Since then 5 cabins where added to the adjoining lot.

We have stayed several times and each time was peaceful and the owner was friendly. Only 45$ for the night. Don't stay in room #3, the bed is terrible. Non smoking rooms w a little patio set outside each room for smoking. I've been told it was pretty shady back in the day w young adults partying and being loud but we've never encountered that. You can't beat the price. Can check in early and check out is at 11am. Small fridge, microwave and cable. The bathroom has only a curtain for a door. Overall a good experience.

we couldn't get into our usual motel in Standish so we tried this one. Nothing historical except how long it's been there. Cash only, the double bed sank in the center so bad had to sleep at other end. Air conditioner on center wall had mold inside making our breathing problems worse. No clean towels for second day and curtain for bathroom door, tv smaller than a laptop. Next time we will make sure we reserve our Standish motel where their always updating and clean!
