Hickory Hills Park

Had a great time with some good people in one of the cabins. Always peaceful when I stay there.

We decided to do some night fishing a few nights ago. This was our epic view and we caught 2 catfish in the 5 pound range. I'm gonna look into the cost of those cabins up there =

I was looking for a park to hike in. This was not the park for that. It holds bison, elk and pheasants in the park. Kids would enjoy to see the animals. Good place to camp, but does not have any hiking or biking trails.

Great little gem in black hawk county. Has elk and bison on site as well as a couple of birds native to Iowa.. the turkeys gobbling as you walk/drive by never gets old! The camping is great and so are the trails! Nice clean shower houses and restrooms. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly enjoyed camping with our three dogs!

Very pretty park and not all that busy in the fall.

Beautiful. As you drive into the park, there's long horn cattle and buffalo, and beautiful cabins and campgrounds overlooking a lake. Probably one of the prettiest, well-maintained parks I've ever been to in Iowa.

Amazing piece of property. Great trail system with lots of varying terrain. Camp facilities are top notch. Plenty of canoeing and kayaking opportunities. Nice disc golf course. Absolutely worth camping at and spending a few days.

I drove thru to see if I could photograph the bison. It was quiet & calm there. Very peaceful. And I did photograph the bison.

Really nice this time of year. Leaves just starting to change, chilly nights frosty but sunny days at the park. Park is very nicely kept!
