Absolutely wonderful! It's a bit of a trek across town to get to Heritage, but it's worth it! The chili cauliflower was exceptional, as was the lamb jalfrezi. We were full before half way through the meal, thanks to large portion sizes. Prices are bang on where they should be, but packed with flavour-value. Make sure to get an order of Gulab Jamun for the road!
Went there on Father’s day to try from Victoria, after hearing good things about them, we tried Dosa and Uttapam, and they were for sure delicious and worth enough for our visit. The only concern was related to speed of service, which was slow, may be because of short staff, which is almost everywhere these days.
Food is really delicious and quantity is more than enough. I really liked their Combo with $23 and that was more than enough food for a single person. My friends ordered biriyani and it came with salad No restaurant gives free salad that was really nice of their Service. Environment was perfect and service as well. Highly recommend
Food was beyond amazing . Been to over 200 Indian restaurants and this is now my #1. The food was by far the most amazing I have ever had . An absolute perfect portion of food . Strawberry Cheesecake 10/10. Will be back befor I head home .
I ordered a lamb kebab, garlic naan, and chicken naan. The lamb kebab I had was awful. It was old and reheated, meat was dry and flavorless. Additionally, the dish was completely tasteless and lacked any seasoning or spices that would enhance the taste. To make matters worse, the lamb kebab was full of colors, which was a clear indication that the meat may not have been fresh. I was extremely disappointed with the overall quality of the dish. It was clear that little care was taken in preparing it, and it was simply reheated without any attempt to make it enjoyable. It was a waste of money and left me feeling unsatisfied. Garlic nan was acceptable though. This is what happened after contacting them: Most embarrassing experience. Disappointed and disrespected. After the terrible experience with this order, I called them back after seeing their response. But things quickly went downhill. The first person I spoke with, a lady, listened to my explanation but then passed me off to another person. This process continued, and I spoke with multiple individuals who didn't seem to care about my experience. No one apologized, and I started to feel like my concerns were being dismissed. The final person I spoke with was the worst of all. He started by offering compensation but then demanded that I remove my negative review in exchange. He even went as far as to blame me for my review, which was completely insulting. I couldn't believe the way they were treating me as a customer. The attitude towards customer service was unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know, and I believe they need to take a hard look at their practices and prioritize customer satisfaction.
Very poor service and food. We arrived at 1:45 and were not feeling very welcome to come in as they close for a break from 230 to 4 we were told. We had the smorgasbord to make it easier and quicker for us and the waitress, *only knew of the smorgasbord as we saw the table beside us heading there. The chicken was very tough and two of the other dishes were extremely salty. Of note: There is a countdown clock on the TV!! I asked if I could have 2 extra minutes to finish my glass of wine and if I could have a box for my leftovers on my plate. No to the box and an uncomfortable giggle to two minutes. Won't be back. PS. I've never given a bad review. I'm sorry I felt it was necessary for Managers review?.
Lovely servers and delicious food! Our table ordered a number of dishes and each had distinct and fantastic flavour and the portion size was super generous. The service was friendly and courteous and there were plenty of gluten free options. Loved the South Indian lunch special!
Stopped in for lunch yesterday and was surprised to find they have a full buffet available for lunch. The number and variety of dishes was quite impressive compared to what I frequently found in the great Vancouver area so, to find this in Nanaimo, was a true bonus. All of the dishes we tried were excellent. We will certainly be stopping in for lunch whenever we are in the Nanaimo area.
Used to love this place and supported them coming up. Past two orders it simply tastes like an old goat meat is mixed in with fresh got meat. That; or they are mixing in another meat source with their goat dishes. We are very skeptical now as it used to be an amazing restaurant.
Staffs are very nice and helpful. Ordered Lamb Pasanda, served with decent amount of meat. Taste was good, it could have been better if it were less salty. Our table had a lamp without a light bulb. Manager might not paying attention to the tables.
