Hendra Moving & Storage

Overall good, the movers were friendly and very efficient, prices were reasonable. However, both the pick up and drop off of my things were HOURS late with little to no communication. The pick up time was 4 hours late, I had to phone multiple times and was told each time that they were definitely on their way. The drop off was nearly 6 hours late due to the ferries. I understand that the ferries are busy, and sometimes you miss a ferry or it's busier than expected, but they should have reserved. I booked more than a month ahead of time, so they would have had plenty of time to reserve. Again, they didn't phone me to communicate this, I had to phone them when they didn't show up on time. That being said, once they got there, everything went smoothly, all my stuff was well wrapped and undamaged.

Overall, good experience. Movers were polite, worked fast, and did a good job. Everything went smoothly. The only complaint I would have is my original quote was for 3 movers, but on both my move in and move out date, only 2 movers were dispatched. I was charged a reduced hourly rate to reflect this, which I appreciated, but the rate for 2 movers was not as competitive as other moving companies in the area. I would have preferred to know that I was only getting 2 movers instead of 3, and what their hourly rate was, ahead of time rather than the day of the move. The reduced manpower put some extra time pressure on the move, and the unexpected rate change made me feel like I was being swindled. I would use Hendra again, mainly because the movers themselves were excellent. But I will be reviewing other options as well.

Hendra removed the feet on my love couch and they were never returned.. I had my stuff stored with Hendra in April and then mid August moved into my place. I emailed Hendra and called with no follow up or concern for misplacing my items. Hendra removed the feet themselves and I was told by the movers to unpack my belongings and I would most likely find them as they often stick them in a random container or box. I have unpacked my all belongings and did not locate them. Again, I emailed and called numerous times and no response. They did a decent job at moving and the price is very responsible for storage in Victoria, but now I have a love seat that is completely on the floor.. So items may go missing.

I have worked with Hendra on many occasions through my work, and I have been nothing but satisfied. The workers are polite, pay excellent attention to detail and have always made sure I was happy before they had left the home. I do and will recommend Hendra to any friends or family! Thanks guys!

On June 5/6, 2017 Hendra moved me from Victoria BC to Vancouver. The two men who helped me were professional and friendly and very helpful. Within days I had emailed a commendation for them (I named them then but by now have forgotten their names). I hope they were appropriately recognised. I would recommend Hendra anytime. Thank you.
