Every interaction with their staff has been a negative one. They talk down to and argue with customers. Historic site, but wish it was managed better.

I wasn't impressed. I understand why locals go there as they have zip lines, rock climbing and hot spring pools. None of which are included with the camping rates, which don't even include the POOR showers in rooms with no light. Never did figure out how much the showers cost and didn't care. The lights are only on during night and off during the daytime. They would be better off putting motion sensors and LED lighting in the bathrooms if they are that concerned about the electric instead of regular bulbs using more electric a day than LED's use in a week on 24hrs a day. There isn't enough light to even shave with and the concrete floors aren't inviting anyway. The only reason I stayed after the first day was cause during the eclipse I wasn't able to find another campground. The campground itself was setup with people shoehorned in so tight you could hear the neighbors whisper and it wasn't cause of the eclipse. I won't be staying here again. The bathroom photo was taken and not altered. It's really that dark during the day in there

My son lost his wallet at the big swimming area while we were on vacation. We called a couple of times over the next 2 days to see if anyone had turned it in. Unfortunately, no one had. We received a follow up phone call the day we returned home informing us that his wallet had been found and they sent it to us by mail. Thank you Heise for your outstanding customer service.

We camped here a few days. I was a little cautious because the website doesn't say much about the campground but decided to try it out because my husband grew up going here. Mistake! Turns out that the main campground staff is unfriendly. Our fire pit was behind our camper. Sprinklers are constantly going during week so you can't walk on grass unless it's by your camper. I paid 10 dollars to be constantly stepped on and mauled at the pool on Saturday. We decided to leave that day but were told it's less busy in the week. Not really. The cool pool was too cold and the warm pool is busy all week with swimming lessons. Prices are too steep given there has been little updates through the years. Pools have plenty of debris floating in them. If you want to shower at campground you will have to pay, and will not be able to set your own temperature. Just very disappointing. Only bright notes are the views of the river, pizza at the parlor is really good minus the crust, friendly staff at the pools, and the hot springs. This place could be 100 percent better and bring in more happy customers with just a little more attentiveness.
