Hastings Public Library

Hastings is a small town so the library is small. Having said that, they have a great selection of books with new ones coming through all the time. There is a good stock of DVD's for those looking for movies. Several computer stations are available, there are tables and chairs for those wanting to do some work or browse through the selections and material available. There is a particularly good selection of local historical material, including compilations of vintage writings from local amateur historians who wrote columns in the town newspaper while it was open and who also produced folders of material. The staff are endlessly helpful. They have ongoing programs for younger readers, they host author nights and special events as well. In other words, everything you would hope to find from your public library.
