The library seems different since Lori Stokem took over, in a very positive way. Even during the times of curbside pickup, the way the library is run makes it seem very welcoming. The creativity with how the windows are being used, from displaying books to the seek and find window, is incredible. They are prompt and accommodating when using curbside pickup. When you can go in, it is welcoming and safe. The people working there right now are friendly and helpful and encompass the whole community. The additions they have made to help the community out is fantastic. You all put a great deal of work into making this library work through many obstacles and it shows. The library has really turned around from a place I was avoiding to a place I am now drawn to. A place of comfort and caring. Thank you to Lori and the rest of Bancroft Library staff and volunteers for making it feel so welcoming, like a piece of home. Great job.
Salem's Bancroft Library is literally the "hub" of the town. Friendly, helpful, cheerful, and a wonderful community resource. The 2020 holiday windows at Bancroft are bound to lift the spirits. I urge all to check out the clever and creative festive displays.
This is our local library and my daughter is here every week. The people there are sweet and very child friendly.
