My daughter was seen here in the ER and got in quickly. Maybe because of the Superbowl?? I don't know but all were wonderful to make sure we were informed how to continue treatment at home. It was easy to get to. Parking was not a problem like a lot of hospitals. Just amazing staff.

We went to the E.R. at Harrison Medical Center on a Tuesday night in April 2018. Everyone was professional, quick and attentive. We felt really well taken care of during our visit and left feeling had the staff had done all they could to make a scary situation feel less so. Thank you!

Silverdale-Harrison ER - Horrible experience. Worst bedside manner by doctor and nurse. The techs and front desk lady were great. The doctor here was awful, unprofessional and "cold" is a nice way to put it. First time I have ever walked out of a medical office/facility. I have been dealing with on going medical issue (for 3 weeks) on top of my (deadly) chronic disease and I was advised to seek emergency room care by my primary care doctor if symptoms worsened and specific new symptoms occurred. This was what happened, unfortunately on a Friday night, tried to wait it out and got worse on Saturday and my family convinced me to go in. I brought all my prescriptions and paperwork from my doctor with me and the ER Doctor acted like I was wasting their time, refused to check my underline conditions and told me that I needed to see my primary care doctor. They were disorganized, kept confusing me with another patient and put someone else in my room, just a mess. Go to Tacoma if you need ER care. Stay away!! These people are unprofessional and unpleasant to say the least.

Our one week ride from hell started with a great beginning. My wife went into labor. We waited a few hours, finally went in, and expected to get admitted due to her contractions being five minutes apart. My wife was two centimeters and they kept us for an hour. It was decided that she wasn't progressing and they told us she wasn't in labor. So we go back home and labor for 8 more hours. She comes back, same test, and they say she has to go home because she isn't in labor. She asks for some sort of relief and they offer her a morphine shot. Wait... She isn't in labor but they give her a morphine shot? She takes it and 4 hours later we are back because her water finally broke. Guess that's the moment we were finally in labor because they admitted her even though she was only two centimeters. This review is two stars instead of one because of two reasons. One is the birthing nurses. I've been told they checked my wife too much and that's why she got a uterine infection but it could also be the 39 hour labor and 4.5 hours of pushing too. Either way, the birthing nurses were professional and helpful. Our daughter was born just fine but within a day of being discharged we were back with the uterine infection. This is where it got terrible. I guess they put the undesirable CNAs and RNs on the other side of the hall because we had a terrible terrible terrible experience. The staff treated me, the father, like a knuckle dragging Neanderthal that would kill my daughter the first chance I got and treated my wife not much better. The most helpful person by a LONG shot was the cleaning lady who got us in touch with who we needed and even brought us a swing for our daughter. She's the second reason for a two star. Congrats cleaning lady. After clearing the uterine infection my wife ended up with C.diff which is a bacterial infection which makes you have diarrhea 20 times a day and can take up to a year to get rid of. It only took her six months. She caught it at Harrison. So, with terrible service with very few exceptions, unclean environment which leads to infections, and food that really is terrible we are thinking about risking the trip to Gig Harbor to have the next one even though we live under ten minutes from Harrison.
