Hargate Apartments

In the time I’ve owned a property at this place 6 years I’ve noticed the building only become better and better. Once the club on the main floor vacated the property the building has only become better and better, especially with the installation of the FOB system and a multitude of security cameras. Newly renovated underground parkade. Newly renovated elevators. Secure mail box areas as well as secure parcel boxes. New washers and driers. Just a few things that has happened in the time I’ve owned my unit in this building, and I am excited to see what else is to come! …did I mention it’s in a great location?!

I just moved here and no matter where you live theres always going to be sketchy ppl. The apartments are ok, not much upgrade has been done. Access to the building requires a fob and the fob works only for the floor you live in, security person at night. I'm not picky or rich but for what I can afford its worth it. The casino is walkable distance it jasper ave what more can be said unless I paid 3 to 4 grand to rent a roof. This roof is just fine.

Place is a hole and the owners of unit 414 will rent to you with nothing in writing and then robb a dead person and then con there grieving mother to give them more money. Super scum bag place and people there. As soon as you walk in you can feel it is a bad bug infested place. And when you ask to see the videos footage from there cameras they block you. Ive heard of slum lords but they are on a different level there.

I'll start off by saying all the negative reviews you're reading were probably posted by people who got kicked out of the building for breaking the rules or the law. Management in this building do NOT tolerate any garbage from tenants. This build is super safe and secure; 24/7 surveillance cameras at all entrances, elevators, and hallways. You need fob access to enter the building. Then once inside the main doors, you need to use your fob to access the elevators, and you need fob access again in the elevators to get to your floor. Another awesome security feature is that the elevator fob only works for the floor you live on. Most all the people in the building are friendly, and it's a quiet building as well. The building is cleaned every day, and maintance staff are quick to respond to any minor issue that might happen. The building is also in a great location, close to shopping, restaurants, and public transit is literally a block away. My unit was newly renovated when I moved in. My manager, Victor, did a very thorough walk through with me before I moved in. I absolutely love my apartment. The views from my windows are awesome as well. Don't believe the negative reviews...this is a fantastic place to live.

Been here for 8 months now. It’s not the best place I’ve lived, but it’s comfortable and I feel safe enough. There has been only 1 fire alarm since I moved in, and it was resolved in about 30 minutes. The building is in a good location and close to downtown. There are security cameras in the lobby and in the hallways. The carpets are regularly vacuumed and the floors washed. The only thing that really could be improved on is cleaning the laundry machines more as sometimes they have a…certain smell old urine

Biggg homeless problem. To the point where I run into more homeless people in the building than other residents. I can say that with one hundred percent certainty.

I've been renting here for 8+ years. The building has improved alot over the years, from security to tenants. My experience has been positive. The building is cleaned everyday and vaccumed at least twice a week. Access to the building is through fob, and the buzz will only take you to your floor. I deal with Kristin from progressive management. She is easy to deal with. She is prompt with her responses and offers great advice when needed. Whenever I needed maintenance support, which has been few during my time here, she helped with setting things up. Sean from maintenance is very friendly and knowledgeable in his field. He made sure everything i needed is working as expected and followed up on his work. I personally recommend living here. Its very convenient to all amenities, specifically of you work downtown of go to close by university.

Units in this building are cheap for a reason... lots of break-ins and random people in the stairwells. The fire alarm gets set off at least once a month and the police are there regularly. I did not feel safe in this building.

My friend lives here apt 213. After seeing his room I was not impressed dirty all flooring cubards appliances bathroom disgusting he moved in 2 month ago and has not even been there much more than 3,-4 days. Was pressured into acceptance from mustard seed.. I have asked him for photos...forth coming....pays 875?? I would pay 400 for that dump!

these guys really need help in my opinion, not very good at all. i find i weird that there was a huge review boost the last month. kind of makes you think they needed to drive up the ratings hey. lol, typical
