It is grand opening today and the food we tried were amazing! Lobster Don is currently 50% off for a limited quantity everyday and it is a must-try! Manager Jacky is so professional and polite! Will definitely revisit soon to try other dishes in the menu!

Very good Japanese Restaurant in Fairview Mall. Good atmosphere and cozy place for a meal. Customer Service is really good. I would recommend this place to everyone.  I had an issue in one of my order, I asked the waitress if they could exchange the dish for me and she politely ask one of the cheffs and after a moment they changed the dish for us due to their mistake.  The Dara Don is really good and tasty. The fish and shrimp is very fresh. Takoyaki was ok, I prefer the ones like Japanese people do on the machine not the deep fried ones. Tempura and seaweed salad was fresh and good. Macarel was amazing but I expected a bit big the portion. Gyu Don was really good after they fixed the dish for us. The sushi was amazing and delicious.  The food is really fresh and tasty. I really enjoy every bite of the meal.

Overall really good! The rice in the dons are delicious so even though I usually don't eat rice I finished the whole bowl. Size of the donburi's are smaller than you'd probably think but for the price of the lunch specials it was still very worth it, especially if you like torched sushi. The dons are definitely more special than the rolls which were pretty standard  We didn't have any issues with the service but the 2 tables on either side of us were dissatisfied with the price increase for a substitution of a cheaper fish and the fact that you had to reserve the lobster opening special which I didn't get.

It was just an amazing experience having dinner at Hana Don. Although it wasn’t planned, but I am happy I decided to go to this place for dinner. I enjoyed all the dishes I ordered, soup, appetizers and the Sushi was really amazing. I will definitely be coming back again whenever I will be around in the area and will also bring my family and friends over. The staff were really amazing, very welcoming and highly friendly.

Second location, Menu is different, but overall the food is pretty decent.  Lots of nice dons that you don't usually see, not a bad place to grab a bite with a small group, as seating is a bit limited.  I give them 8/10!

Popped in for a quick bite around 7ish, we were seated promptly and allowed to select our table as the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The server and entire weight staff were very kind, sweet, and helpful throughout our entire experience at this restaurant. The food we ordered was great and came with a couple sides. I ordered the chicken Katsu, which came with rice and miso soup and a small salad. Normally, I hate miso soup, but this place got it right. It wasn’t too salty and it wasn’t too flavored, it was just perfect on a cold winter night. The restaurant was clean and on the smaller side but still had enough room to see at least 15 tables. will come back for more, the sushi bowl that we got was on the smaller side, but still filling.

Nice open environment with welcoming staff  Portion size and food quality is very good. My Gyu Don was filling although i found the beef a tad stringy / chewy. My partner found their Chicken Teriyaki a tad on the salty side but the restaurant was quick to remedy the situation  Overall a nice place and would visit again  Hana Don is located outside the mall facing Sheppard Avenue on the side with the Hibachi and St Louis Wings  Don't forget to bring cash Monday to Thursday excluding weekends and holidays for 5% off the tab

This is the restaurant with great quality of Japanese dishes with very delicious sushis, everything was fresh, tasty and serving with good design, the menu is fairly varied and priced. Just I believe 2 waiter is not enough for the crowded hours as they did some mistakes in my order and they forgot to bring us our drinks, but I would add that after letting them know, they fixed it right away

Ate here with family for dinner and had a pretty mediocre and underwhelming experience. Service was quite slow food took 20min to come out, vegetable tempura was not crispy, octopus appetizer was a lukewarm temperature, and the tea tasted like water. The rolls pictured was okay but tasted mostly like the sauce they put on top. The gyu don was good! The staff also seem slightly disorganized but perhaps they’re new?. The ambience is really nice though, and the you can tell the chefs paid attention to plating.

Food was delicious but the quality of sea urchin was just fair, other than that the rice and other sashi tasted good. The waiter was nice and the food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Overall I enjoyed the meal!
