New to Cornwall; and I’m so glad I discovered this pet shop. The store was very clean and organized and all the animals looked very happy. The employees were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back… possibly to buy a bird
Sadly I've been unable to even get in the store. Daughter went in 1.5 yrs ago & while looking was approached by a young man who said he was the "owner" who accused her of "taking pictures" she wasn't & he kicked her out. This summer my husband went to see what they had by way of aquaria & reptile supplies. He was stopped at the door & told he couldn't come in unless he knew exactly what he intended to purchase & would guarantee that he would buy something. He was accused of wanting to "take pictures" when he doesn't own a cell phone & certainly had brought no camera. I've stopped by 3x during posted hours since as it's a convenient stop at the mall. 2x they were closed, once the gate was closed & an apparent employee stood glaring at me & ignoring me whilst I was saying "excuse me". Very odd shop. As a relative newcomer to the area I didn't understand the attitudes at all, until I read the reviews & looked up the history. Not the best way to bring in new customers or repair one's reputation.
Do not support this store! The owners have repeatedly abandoned unsold domestic rabbits into the wild in this neughbourhood - these rabbits will not survive in the wild. I spotted one rabbit out today in the cold with matted fur, it was very scared and looked sick. The store owner doesn’t like people taking photos of the pets/rabbits in the store - likely because they don’t want to be linked to all of these abandoned rabbits. This needs to stop! Do not support this store!
Was in today and picked up 10 Discus. The young man was very helpful and polite. He answered all of my questions. Even the ones I asked twice. He gave me some great tips to get my fish home and in the aquarium safe and sound. He was wrong about one thing. He said the fish would hide for a week or two. When I put them in the tank they all hide in the back of the tank behind the driftwood. In less than 45 minutes most of them have come out and are having out in the front of the tank. They all look great! and so does the Pleco. I am very happy about the health of the fish. And extremely happy with the service I got.
Stepped in today to check out the store as I have not been inside in about 7 years due to their previous animal neglect - sad to say not much has changed. The store is overcrowded with animals, especially the birds. Tiny cages with 8+ clearly stressed birds flying around like mad and plucking their feathers out. Saw a Chameleon so sick and underweight he was thinner than my finger and permanently brown, a green and yellow Axolotl that was in the process of dying and countless other distressed animals. The only animals that were NOT distressed or sick looking were the fish. Not sure where the owners were but they were not in the store for the 15+ minutes we were browsing. Absolutely CANNOT fathom how this store is still open after countless protests and calls for abuse for the past 10 years.

Kind people, but the bird situation is extremely saddening. Severe over crowding, the birds look extremely sad and emotionally unwell. The store is very small but better than other pet stores in terms of care supplies and knowledge. But the birds need more room, they need proper care.
The environment is so comfortable and the staff is very easy going, helpful and knowledgeable! 100% reliable services and worth having pet products! This pet shop really has the best and amazing products, like accessories, treats, cages and many more! They are so accommodating and dependable you'll be so happy and satisfied with the service. The items are in good quality and the prices are so reasonable. it is so clear the animals are well cared for. You didn't fail to impress me, guys! Highly reccomended to everyone!
I've purchased many fish from this store, one of them being a black ghost knife fish. This fish is pretty tricky to keep if even if you are an experienced fish keeper. I purchased mine about a year and a bit ago, it was a baby and has now grown to be almost 2 feet long.. for this store to be able to keep such a temperamental fish in their tanks is proof that their water quality and knowledge is very good. Most people that lose fish within the first 24 hrs is due to shock from change of water, and I find many fish keepers in the area aren't familiar with the NITROGEN CYCLE of a fish tank. Most haven't cycled their tank properly, which is why the new fish dies. This is NOT the fault of the store nor quality of fish. This is the fault of the fish keeper not doing their research. I'd give 5 stars, but I do agree they are a bit pricey.. very good service however.
