Gumbo House

Food is good small place with big flavor. One of thr better po boyz in town.

my husband is from Louisiana so we had high hopes.my mouth eatering for a good meal. got a poor boy good but not what i was expecting. my husband got the jambalaya and it was more like a tomato soup. not like we have had. the young lady our waitress was a doll.so sweet,willing to answer all our questions and was a credit to them. er clean , just not what we where hoping for.Thank you

Reasonably priced.....great gumbo and Po' Boys. It reminds me of being in Louisiana more than anywhere else in Anchorage. The food is hearty and fresh.

Their slogan is right, home of the authentic Cajun food! Everything on the menu is bomb, I like to get the bucket of kitchen sink gumbo, eat all the shrimp and oysters then eat the leftovers for lunch the next day.

An unlooked cultural element in Anchorage is the excellent food influence from the Gulf Coast states. This place has better gumbo than anything I've found at home in Seattle.
